Clear corner lenses

No offense, but the clear lenses don't match up well on the sedan (dark charcoal housing). Not too sure about the Protege5 (chrome housing) though. If you don't want the amber (orange) reflector, it may be a lot easier, better looking and cheaper to buy BlueBatMobile's headlight overlays (that go on top of the headlights) to cover the reflector. if it was completely clear..it wouldn't be reflective...

if it was reflective like the ones in this thread..it'd be more white and blended well with the dark headlight housing

If you want clear, just take the amber corner out completely. I HATE that look because you are left with the stupid chrome oval underneath. These look freaking amazing IMO & white & black aren't supposed to match up, they contrast...that's the point.

i think it'd match very well. the reflecting mirrors are white/clear, so its not that bad.

DIY kit idea...

All who are patient: Thanks!

Here are my latest thoughts. What would you say to me sending you a "DIY kit" with the material for two lenses (one left, one right) and you could make them yourself? I would charge $8 for all the material to be shipped right to you.

To complete them, you will need to buy/borrow:
a heat gun,
a dremel with cutting tool,
and some heavy duty clamps.

I just dont have the time to make these like I thought. Especially with the fitment issues (that can only be solved with having a spare set of headlamps to test fit each pair as i produce them; which I don't have), I don't want to "produce" these with poor results (i.e. cracking in the mail, etc).

They are not difficult to make by any means, it just takes time (like 1/2 an hour). The most time consuming part is getting the bumper off to get at the headlamps, taking them apart to get at the lenses, etc. I could even write a How To.

Please let me know if this will work for all of you as I have paypal and can start cutting and mailing the material today if desired. (In which case, I will get an authorized vendor status if I need to).

There will be no minimum or whatever, and this will have no expiration date. I will see the material as long as I have some to sell. Thanks again for your patience.

On the LX and SE models it looks great. The reason being that the "frame" is chrome and not charcoal or black.

Protege5's don't have the amber reflector in the headlight housing. They have their reflectors on the bumper
