City lights

:
97 Maxima SE 5spd
I just wanted to confirm this, I read it in a post awhile back. To get them to stay fully lit when all my lights are on, instead of when I'm using the turn signal, I just put paper on one of the power plugs?

somebody post that picture of Samuel L Jackson holding the gun saying "ENGLISH MOTHERFUCKER, DO YOU SPEAK IT?"

gotta love Pulp Fiction

I somewhat understand you. Are you talking about keeping the inside flashers on. Working from the center of the car you have the inside flashers, headlights, outside flashers, and side flashers. I think he wants to keep his inside flashers on but have then get constant power so they dont' flash. My advice to you is put down the crack pipe.

ditto what everyone else said - Huh???

IMO - two-ply Brawny works best :D - not looking to start a paper towel fight

I was thinking about the same thing - the bulbs IIRC are an 8w/28w bulb. Normally, the 8w is on with the "parking lights" and the 28w is activated by the turn signals or 4-ways. You want the 28 watt filament to be on all the time, dimming to the 8W when the blinker is on. Would definitely be possible, but the only way I'm thinking would require some relays unless you want to hack into the wiring.

I want to do the same thing, use the inside marker lights as city lights/running lights, but still have them available as turn signals (the outer ones don't flash, only the fender markers).

BTW, good rule of thimb is never to use paper as an insulator - it gets wet (at which point it doesn't insulate) and when not wet it's flammable! STAY AWAY!

Doh!

Oh wow, lol. Well, it made sense when I wrote it. I was talking about the inner bulbs on the headlights, closest to the grill. I replaced them with a pair of FX 5200k bulbs. I noticed that when I turned my lights on they were considerably dimmer than the main bulbs. Ok, you would think that was normal right? Well, when I used my turn signal, the inner bulbs were as bright as the main bulb. I want them to be like all the time and I read on someones post the way to do it was to cover one of the prongs with some paper. That better?

Edit: What would be a better insulator that would still allow me to slide the plug onto the prongs?
