you should offer 16000+ttl, and you should be able to get it. i got mine at the end of july for 18k+ttl

yep, i couldve done the same with the 2003.5, but i liked how the 2003 looked better so i picked the 2003. there are dealerships with ads out for them at 15995, so you should have no problem

Yeah, that is a little high, I payed 17,800 without the licensing, and that even seems a little high compared to what numbers other people are posting.

But, like people have said, it does depend on location.

I just paid 17500 for mine. There is a dealership in Austin, Texas that is selling the .5's for 16500 +t&l after rebates and the 03's at 16000

Mazda South and the salesman's name was John Lane IIRC.

2003 = 16000, 2003.5 = 16500

That's what they're going for at all the dealers in Austin, TX. I've heard this is the lowest in teh country. You shouldn't pay over $17500 NO MATTER WHAT.

how can i use that to my advantage when im negotiating with the salesperson? if i say 16500 in texas hes prolly gonna say well thers such a high demand for them here in ny... maybe i should say my dad lives in texas and he can pick one up and drive it back here but i rather give you guys the business ? or do sum kind of walk out sayn im goin to another local dealer

i just know how my dealer works they go on and on and on about the rare availibilty of these cars and i want to be more prepared cuz im gonna get steam rolled when i say 16000

there isnt a high demand. ask him how long they have been on the lot. if they continue to be dicks, walk out. go to another dealer. if there isnt another dealer, make sure you leave your number and expect a call.

You can ship the car for $700, so $16000 + 700 in TX is $16700.

I can have my dealer call you and use a shipping service. I've sold cars on Ebay and used different car shipping services.

So tell them you're willing to pay $16750 to save the hassel.

Remember to add $500 for 2003.5

I'm in the same boat, looking to pick up a MSP this week. Cory Fairbanks in Longwood, FLA is where I'd get it. From their inventory, they have close to 7 or so MSP's on the lot, so I figure they will want to negotiate.

I've already been offered a price of $16947 ($500 under invoice and then the $2K off)...

Are you guys saying we should be getting the car for around $16500 INCLUDING the $2K off?

You have to pay tax BEFORE cash back, right??? So you'd have to pay tax on (give or take $500) $18500 and then take the $2K off of that price, correct??? So trying to get $16K PLUS t/t/t would put the car around $14K, right (which would be great, but I think you're saying get the car AFTER cash back for $16500)...

my dealership went on and on about the rareness and how they wouldn't go below sticker. the next day i drove out with one for 18+ttl
and definitely use the dealership in texas, as stated before. the internet is a wonderful thing

If you're in NY, I would check out Great Neck Mazda (ask for Joe). The price was $17,500 and that's the lowest they'll go. The sales manager showed me exactly what the dealership was paying and I guess in NY, there is an extra charge of 500 (?). Anyways, they are very easy to deal with (no mind games).

if you want to take a trip to ct you don't have to pay that extra charge. but i don't know how far you are from ct, ny is a pretty big state

James, Where did you buy your MSP?
I got mine at Neil Huffman on dixie.
paid 17,800 before TTL, after S plan, and 1500 rebate.

nocar- what dealership are you looking to buy your car at?

1. Check for inventory on Mazda's website.
2. Talk to the Fleet manager, they normally give you a good price.
3. Know someone at the dealership :D
