So i installed a greddy profec B Spec-2 boost controller over the weekend and no matter what i set the boost to it wont go past 6 psi. Any idea what would cause this? Could it be a bad Wastegate actuator or what? Any help is appreciated.

hmm.. you have engine management? shouldn't be turning up the boost without it! :)

^^ Bah, up to 10 psi there's no problem... Just be sure to get colder plugs.

I have the Profec B too, but isin't installed yet, so subbin incase I get the problem.

Sounds like your wastegate is working fine if it holds at 6psi. On the Profec

you have to set when the wastegate opens lower than the set boost. Lets

say you want to boost 10psi, you set the unit to open the WG at 6psi then

increase the precentage.

lol... that's what alot of people have said......... BOOM

i have it set to start boost at like 3psi, just want to get it up to 7 psi but it wont go past 5.8. I can't figure out why it wont raise no matter what.

hmm...i would say to re-check the vacuum hose routing...making sure its routed to the right locations such as the solenoid...wastegate..and manifold pressure source.
