Boost Gauge

look for the green wire with a black stripe. It's in a bundl eof wires close to the driver side kick palnel. This is the on you want to use. it's the parking light wire. If you use the head light wire, the light will turn off when you use your brights. The parking lights stay on no matter what when you lights are on.

can someone list the things that are wrong off the floor with this car. Like I said I am about to buy and would like to throw a couple things in there face at the dealership for price lowering. I have them at about 18,500 with everything out the door and them paying for my taxes as of now. I am buying it in a differant state. Do you think this is a good price. I've heard 16,000 by some people on sites. That sounds a little extreme seeing that the listed price everywhere on the web is 20,500. And Invoice is listed at 18,750. Finally, does anyone regret buying this car for any reason. Thanks.

splitvizion...what you did is called a threadjack (changing the subject of a thread midstream). Generally it's not a nice thing to do, even if you announce you are going to do it.

Now with respect to your comments about "the things that are wrong off the floor with this car," I would say you are barking up the wrong tree. If you are going to try and get a dealer to lower their price on the car because you are going to have to put so much work into it afterwards, you have obviously never bought a new car before. Anything wrong with the car off the floor should be covered by warranty, and thus free. If you are looking to mod the car, they aren't going to give you a discount because you feel the plastic intercooler pipes aren't going to hold up when you are boosting 12psi. I've got a suggestion for you, read the stickes and find out what's really wrong with this car. If you don't think that it's right for you after reading it, don't buy it! But don't be so presumptuous to think that you are doing the dealers a favor by taking the car off their hands for some amount lower than what the car is worth because you feel that there's something wrong with it that they can't fix.

And yes the car can be had for $16K in Austin, TX, but that doesn't mean that someone in Pittsburgh is gonna get the same price....

Yeah, it's blue with a red stripe. I found it using a testlight and turning the fogs on and off a few times.

nope
wired it to the green-black wire on the dimmer switch.

dimmer switch is the first one so it's the easiest to get to.

question:
if u wire it to the fogs, wouldnt it mean that the guage will go off if the fogs are turned off?
i might be wrong on this.

That's exactly why I wanted mine hooked up the the fog relay. There are times around here when I want the guage on. Then, there are other times when I want to be left alone and for a more "stealthy" appearance, I can turn the foglights off which loses a bit of the exterior sport car appearance and also turns the guage off. Plus, the guage dims out with your brights on. The way I see it, if I'm driving with brights on, it's because I need to pay attention to the road, so a blue light in my view only takes that much more attention off.
