Id be ******* pissed if I paid 20k for a car, for it to blow up on me in less than 20k miles. The msp is a problem filled car, and mazda doesn't really seem to give a s***.
I TOTALLY AGREE with this statement!
No car should have as many mechanical issues and noises as the the MSP has.
And Twisted,Your motor prob is identical to what happened to mine! The casting left in the motor broke and went through the engine and turbo just as yours did! It trashed everything in the rotating assbly!
It took the dealer about 3 weeks as well to get me a new motor and turbo put on mine. What makes it worse it the fact that mine happened at 3800 miles!
I have no major BEEF with the way that Mazda addressed the issue on my motor,BUT I do have BEEF with thte dealership that scratched up my engine bay and core support changing the motor and then telling basically that "s*** HAPPENS" and never offered to fix it even after my complaint.I even wrote to Mazda about it and let them know about my dis-satisfaction with the dealership in that regard and NEVER heard back from MAZDA!
What a crock!I have scratched paint on a new car and was told to deal with it!
I would be willing to file any kind of complaint with you agaist the general treatment from the MAZDA Corp. as a whole in regards to the MSP.
I will say that I have learned to deal with the MSP's so called "QUIRKS" ,but I still think it is total B.S.
