Your oil cap was loose, and you had to take it to the dealer to tighten it up? You couldn't reach up there and tighten it yourself?

Sounds like @olraygoza noticed an oil leak, so they took it back to the dealer, and the dealer blamed the leak on a loose oil cap. It sounds to me that their dealer is good at making up excuses, and possibly fed them that line about low oil level causing cracked blocks. Probably in an effort to get them to schedule oil changes more frequently.

My last oil change I also noticed leaking, so I went back right away and they said the oil cap was loose and they tighten it.
