blew a tire

Shes a 205 50r 17 88v Goodyear eagle rsa, but id take a lower speed rating as long as its same tread.

A guy locally everyone here at work loves has offered 179 for the exact same tire, and he has different tires for 120 a piece, so then i could get 2 matching on the back, then have a almost new goodyear in my garage awaiting the next pothole.
I appreciate every1s help. Kymp5, thanks, but ill probably just go locally to getback on the road because i hate driving my beater focus (no air, no cruise, no power locks or windows, 5speed). So note to all, these stock tires dont have enough of an air cusion like you may be used to. I swear if i blow another im buying a lifter kit and mudders.

Guess I should have bet you, eh? (wiggle)

Did you try any of the warehouse clubs? I hear they have cheap tires but I don't know what brands they carry.

I hate it when I'm wrong.

You can get a Kumho Ecsta ASX tire in the OEM size for $95 plus shipping from Tire Rack. I was pricing them out on Friday.

This of course if you choose not to stick with what came on the car. I know I won't buy the RSA's when it comes time to replace them.

Im looking at those tires now, I think you have sold me on them :-) ILL make my decision tomorrow as I sit and watch my crippled mazda sit in my driveway. If i buy those 2 then ill have an extra goodyear for another evil pothole later.

I have the ASX's on my Probe in a 225 50 16 and I love them! My mom just put 4 of them on her Acura on Sat and is happy with them as well so far. They handle so much better than the RSA's, so I don't think you'll be unhappy.

what I wear

the day I bought my MSP I went to Discount Tire and traded for Continental sportcontacts, they were $99 each at the time and I'm driving them for the 2nd Minnesota winter, so you might want to check them out? They are ultra high performance all season tires.

I put some ASXs on my 3 and it seems to be doing just fine in the snow.

We got 3-4 inches of snow this morning. The accelerating traction is a little loose but braking and cornering are as good as I had hoped for.

im in toledo (mich line) so I know what youre talking about. I think I am going to go ahead and order 2 asx's tonight.

EDIT

ok i just purchased 2 from tirerack. Lets see how long it takes to get here.
