Big problem????

My MS6 (47k miles) is shooting oil out of my BOV..im thinking the turbo is shot but im looking for maybe other reasons why this could be happening.....(headshake

I believe that is the only way oil can get into you intake unless somehow it is coming from a bad cylinder up through you intake manifold but that seem unlikely.

sounds like a warrnty issue to me...

make sure you take your mods off before going to the dealer...

True, if it's an '06, I believe you're still under warranty.

If it's an '07, you're SOL on the warranty.

negative...

60k power train which the turbo falls under

Do you have documentation that states the turbo is included in that? I think I've read in more than one place that the turbo and intercooler were only part of the basic warranty because they were not a core engine component.

Trying to retrace cyber footsteps and find where I read that.

im almost positive turbos are part of the drive train warranty.,. i just got a cold coverage extended warranty with my MS6 and its 7 years 100,000 miles and it states that the turbo charger is included as the drive train.. i assume it would be the same way from mazda.. although i am not sure about the intercooler.. i think it is.. but cant say for sure.

If you can't get it covered under warranty you might be able to simply do a turbo rebuild (if thats what it ends up being) but I would check and see if theres oil all in the rest of the intake and possibly intercooler

Oil gets into the intake system on these cars due to the PCV system it's not the turbo or a problem with a cylinder or anything like that. This is what is also causing the smoke from the exhaust. My BOV is also spraying small amounts of oil which build up over time. Right now the best solution is to get a catch can.
