Escalating to Mazda Japan? Dealership problem

The dealership damaged my car unrelated to the repair they were doing. Caught on dashcam. They're refusing to cooperate and handle the problem. This is in south east asia btw, lawyers are involved. Has anyone tried reaching out to Mazda Japan and does that help?

You would be best off getting in touch with Mazda corporate in your country.

What kind of damage are we talking about? Is it something that you can claim on your car insurance policy and thus leave the claim against the dealer to your insurance company to deal with?

The dashcam itself was mangled off the mount, dashcam literally recorded the last few moments of it being mangled off.

Insurance doesn't cover the dashcam as it's not insured, the repair they did was also for the doors, not the windshield.

I've escalated to Mazda Philippines but got no reply. So I'm assuming they don't care.

If you have solid proof in hand (with that cam video), then I would absolutely bring it to Mazda corporate's attention. This sort of failure of customer service (if the description and video of the act is true) isn't what Mazda would want "out there" regarding their support of their customers.

I already have brought it to Mazda PH. Are there other corporate entities out there of Mazda? I think Mazda Ph is under a SEA entity located in thailand or Malaysia (I need to check again). I just know that when I escalated it reached this dealership already, but suceeding followups with Mazda PH did not result in any results or response.

Yeah keep trying.

Can you post a photo of the damage? And/Or state what needs to be done to put things back as they were? Are we talking about the mounting bracket or the camera itself + bracket?

I'm trying to avoid posting photos as this now leads to a criminal, civil, and admin case. Something about Sub Judice rule. But yes, the mounting bracket whch also supplies power supply to the camera is broken, the male usb port is broken, the locking mechanism is damaged severely (it barely locks in now). Camera's locking mechanism also is damaged. Even if I called a level 3 repair to solder it back, the camera's locking mechanism is beyond repair, a total replacement is needed.

I did tell them from the very beginning they just pay for the dashcam and I'll take care of the rest. But that lead to nowhere.
