AutoX Season Begins

The Battle for E-Stock!!

The battle for E-Stock will be fought in two separate heats, spread out over several hours! It will not be head-to-head exciting! We won't even see each other there! But I'll spend the whole morning trash talking you for being too scared to show up, Hank, even though it's not your time to be there!

Put that in your pipe and juggle it!

Now you've hurt my feelings. :(

Oh well, at least I can fully expect that I get to go home and sleep with the ES Ladies champ that night!

Dru (first)(Ladies ES Trophy)

Eric (always (first) in your hearts)

It's possible. I'm thinking of putting some better rubber on them for the track and autox, having serious issues picking the right ones though=p

T minus two weeks Hank

yea I signed up for stx. That seemed to be the only choice that seemed like it fit.... Sucks to be me I guess:(. So I'll be there all day also:( I'm going to send an email to see if they can change me to the first heat. I guess it's worth a try. MAN I'M SUCH A NOOB!!!!!!!!

There's nothing wrong with STX, it just allows you to have more engine and suspension mods and fewers choices for rubber. I'll be there all day as well snapping off pictures and whatnot. If you have any questions just ask man, I'll be happy to help you prep your car and go through registration.

They still had slots in the first heat last night. Also, I had to switch heats, so I just signed up for first heat and asked them via email to take me back out of the second heat, and they were really quick about it. There's no reason for you to be there all day, whatever heat you're in. You just show up an hour or so before your heat for tech, etc. The whole process is very efficient, actually. Last time we did one with this club, I drove in the first half of the heat, with cars 1-18. The folks from cars 19-35, including Dru, worked the course. After four runs, we switched and I worked the course while Dru raced. With tech and everything, we were probably in and out of there in 2-2 1/2 hours, tops.

We'll see you there Matt, if you get switched. Does your fiance' have any interest in racing? You should encourage her to try it. It's a ton of fun. Dru loves it! Also, if you get her involved, it will make your life easier if you want to keep doing these! TRUST ME. [/married guy advice]

check out what came in the mail today :D

Get advice! But Crystal hates driving to work let alone driving in an autox! She probably doesnt like me doing it either. She really didnt agree with me going to the track and drag racing(if you want to call it that, slow ass car!). But she wants me to be happy so she goes along with it.

Well I sent out an email to change my heat but by the time the email was read the other heats had filled up. But now I have a new problem!!! I have to report back to my Virginia Army National Guard unit in Apirl. I have to check on what weekend I have to be there. It maybe the same weekend as this. If it is I may not be able to make it to this:(. Sometimes I can get out of going. It all depends on my chain of command.....

WooHoo! Front struts and springs are IN!! Ran out of shop time before I could do the rears, but I'll get those in next Wednesday.

Even with just the fronts replaced, and even with those being used stock units, I could feel and hear an improvement on the way home!
(nana)

WooHoo Again! Finally got to do the rear shocks and springs and Falken Azenis all around! It was like a whole different car on the drive home!

4 more days to the inaugural 'cross runs of the 7!!!!!

:D :D :D

So, how'd it go Matt?
Hank, how bad did you beat me?
I was off course on runs 1 and 3, and I don't know my times for 2 and 4, but I think they were like 68 seconds and 65 seconds...?? I don't know, I'll start making excuses or talking trash when they get the times posted. ;)

I will say this: The 7 is a beast to autocross! I did not handle it very well!

-Eric

Hank, I was doing video when you were up. Ashu and Sal should pul video sometime in the near future.

-edit-
For those unaware. The autox was called a little short "no fun runs:(".

Someone lost it going into the skidpad and went into a telephone pole. The tension wire snapped and the top of the pole came down. No one was hurt, but there were no more runs.
