Actually the charges were:tonkabui said:wow, 5 months for going awol... wonder what the cats will get who were abusing the prisoners... well, actually, probably not much since the soldier who used excessive force (killed) a prisoner was just demoted, then removed from the service. oh well... so goes teh realities of war.
bah, theyll live. people like me, you, todd, spicy, etc know WTF is going on.boostisgood said:MAtthew, suggestion bro. Dont post anymore stuff about the military, most people on this forum dont understand that the UCMJ is much different then civilian justice, and different circumstances in different stuations will warrant different penalties.
Matthew said:Actually the charges were:
2 Counts of FTR (failure to report, in this case prescribed formations)
2 Counts of AWOL (with apprehension as opposed to turning oneself in)
2 Counts of wrongful use of cocaine

i had a smartass comment for part of that but i lost it,Matthew said:the rightful use, believe it or not (dont get any ideas drug users lol) is for:
1) medicinal
2) experimental where approved prior to by the fed govt
3) while during an undercover operation where ingesting of a controlled substance is instrumental in the cover of the agent (ie - snorting coke to avoid detection or suspicion by the criminals)
4) when not aware of the consumption (ie - someone slipping a controlled substance into your drink at a party without your consent or knowledge)
hell i dunno, im just relaying what the GCMCA (General Court Martial Convening Authority) relayed to the counsels. i assume if i was undercover and if i didnt snort it would make all the mob i was hanging out with suspicous, i would be a snorting mofo to save my life. in that case, you could not be prosecuted under UCMJ.CatD399 said:i never thought undercovers snorted; do they get addicted or what?
