Any1 have a K&N for Mazda3s?

Im debating on getting the K&N for the mazda3, i had them for my tbird and mustangs and it made the car a little louder and slightly better performance. Anyone buy one and can tell any difference in gas mileage or performance\loudness? I know it will probably pay for itself in 50,000 miles (5 normal filters) but I may jump to the mazda speed or another mustang GT by then, so im just wondering what you guys have noticed. Thanks.

I have one in my 3. Sounds a little better, and a bit quicker throttle response. It was worth it for me.

I have one too. Absolutely love it. Aside from a CEL issue the week I put it in, I haven't had any problems so far (loose clamps). Had it for around 1000 miles now. I can notice my mileage has improved a little, it sounds awesome and my car definitely feels more responsive.

CEL issue?

Nope. You have to pull the LF inner fender but not the bumper cover. It helps to pull the LF wheel, too.

I went to every parts store in town. Got the part number. They are all willing to order it but I'm to impatient. I am moving to Jacksonville, Fl. in 1 month. They should have one down there.

It's a pretty involved process. Not something you can say "do this and this" and then you're done.

I think there was a How-To around here somewhere...
