Well this abosolutely blows. I was only able to grace the road with my cars presence for 6 months. It was something I've always wanted, and now want back more than ever. Long story short, doin about 55-60mph on a turn down the mountain road by me. This is not fast for the corner, I've done 75 without any problem and very little body roll. Halfway through the turn, one of those small sever storm bursts hit he road. Standing and moveing eater everywhere. Couldnt compensate for it. Lost traction on all 4 wheels. Car spun 180 degrees. Thats when my side hit the ditch an rolled twice. I came out with 12 3.0 gauge stiches on my left elbow, brusied lung, kidney and baldder, and bruises all over my left shoulder/back. My little bro had 5 stiches in 3 places. Smaller stich, about 6.0 gauge. Broken thumb. This happened on the 28th of July. Im still really sore today...for the first few days couldnt get outta bed on my own. But this car without a shadow of a doubt saved our lives. I've always been a Mazda fan, owning an old RX-7 few years ago. This just makes me even more a fan. I cant wait untill I can afford to get another one. Will be looking for another Spicy Orange one. Hopefully I can get the cash up for another one. This was the first new car I purchased. I was so sad to see it gone..shed tears the nite I was dischaged from the ER an drove past it.

They had to cut the roof to get me out since my door wouldnt open up all the way. My little bro in the passenger side was able to get out fine though. Funny, I was on my way to get a helmet for the SCCA events I go to when this happened.

Some more pics...

Hopefully in 6-8 months I can scrape up enough and find a nice Spicy Orange MSP again. I loved that thing, and now more than ever I am part of the Mazda camp for life...

Dude, its nice to hear you are ok (aside from being sore). I first thought the roof came off. Good thing I read the whole thing. I guess those extra rigidity and thickness they put in the body of our protege is well worth it. Praying for you quick recovery and your brother.

Dude, I can't see how the hell you survived...these little MSPs are just that great. I'm sorry to see the spicy go, but good thing is you're alive. I don't see how the hell your headlights didn't break either! ******' A!

Wow, glad you're okay!!! That looks reallll bad.

Hey dibs on.... wait i don't think theres anything dib-able anymore!!! j/k man. Good luck with your search to find another one.

Your avatar is appropriate because someone is definitely looking out for you. Glad to hear that your injuries weren't severe.
