Another Bad Motor?!?!?

Lol...this is my first Mazda, and I love the car...but the dealerships need to get their s*** together. I understand cars have quirks and aren't flawless, and that this the first year of the MSP so there are some bugs to be worked out....but it just seems Mazda has its head up its ass right now...
Not that simple. The MSP just carried over the problems the MP3 had and mazda will not back up there dealers most of the time leaving them up s***'s creek! Saying its a first production would be fine for the turbo and LSD only. The rest of the car is nothing new.

Hey Forcefed... have you checked where you get gas from? Could you be suffering from dirty gas... or possibly a lower octane rated gas than you should use (like a station that is scamming on premium)?

And distantTea,It's definately not the gas as i have gotton(SP?)gas at a few different places and its not ping it's motor noise .The motor is just noisier than it should be and was before the swap!My car is driving me insane!And on top of all that ,It's just no fun anymore!

you have 2 choices
keep the car and keep dumping money in there, all the while being miserable because your MSP is running like crap and you have to go back and forth and back and forth to the dealership to deal with this.
or cut the losses now, sell the car and eat the depreciation hit, and be happier with a new and smooth running car.
don't let money hold you down, do what will make you happy.

Zoom... NO NO NO NO! NO car under warranty should be sold because of issues, unless its a personal preference that is the cause, not a mechanical issue.
My advise is to keep persuing warranty fixes until its either repaired to your approval or the car goes back under lemon.
But then again we're not talking that much depreciation on this car... maybe $2k lost to sell it to a private party... Nah, fight the warranty battle. Get your car back.

Service it at another dealer!!! I had the same :bs: with my Swift GT, but everything worked out once I found a better service dept.
well as long as he can endure the stress of fighting out the warranty fixes (and finding another dealership to work on it, since this one obviously doesn't know sh!t about fixing it), I guess it'll make more sense to do that...
but start looking at state of Ohio's lemon laws, you probably will need to use it soon...
but don't give up on Mazdas! I know it's hard not to, but try nonetheless!

Ok,today I beleive that the car was running like super $hit.It felt as it had no power what so ever?It ran like complete crap all day?:wtf: I really like my MSP and I REALLY think that the dealer is trying to help me out but if the lemon law comes into effect,I WILL PURSUE IT!And on the note of not giving up on MAZDA's all together?HMMMMMMMM????

So I start out my day driving a POS again!It was running like complete s*** this morning on the way to work!But Then,as the day went on,it got better?I was on my way home from work and the car was acting un usual?It was running fairly good!:wtf: It was a nice cool day but I don't think that was it?The turbo is also starting to wake up a little and make some noise!This is definately bringing a smile to my face
I did however make an appointment W/ the dealer on fri. morn to look at it about a few things.This is a local dealer i'm going to this time(not the guy's who did my motor)and i'm going to express my concerns with how loud the motor is(knocking and rattle noises),how poorly it shifts and also the hesitation that has become common place with our cars.I am also going to the track tomorrow to put down the "NEW" baseline runs before (and if ) I get to my mods.If this car does not put down the times it did before ,I will be very unhappy with it ,the dealer and Mazda.I can't tell if the car is slower than it was before but it does seem that way!We will soon get through all this :bs: and get to the bottom of these problems ,one way or the other!

So for warranty I bet you got a re-man cause mazda takes the core (old motor) and will probably rebuild it.
