Alamo1's P5-T Build

Mine is not too low and when the suspension is set to superhard it barely moves when I jump on the bumpers so we'll see. My wheels are 7" +55. I have 215 now and probably will go with 195 or 205 at the max

hey how did you install your oil return line into your baffle plate? did you buy it like that or do it yourself. would rather tap into that than the oil pan.

You have to remove or at least drop the plate to tap it, which means unbolting the tranny. While its a better spot for the oil return line its more work.

^ This.

I have an extra motor that I ripped it off, milled and welded in a bung at my work, and then while installing my new clutch I put it on. Please make sure you know the hole is going to work before you do it because my current drain will not work with my Pope DP. Just no room. So this will be the fourth hole I've put in this thing when I figure out how to do the drain this time. Worst part of it is, I didn't do the sealant correctly so now it weeps at the seams. I HATE OIL LEAKS!!! Luckily I have to do it all over again.

you dont necessarily need to seperate your motor and trans. If you feel comfortable enough, you can drill two holes in the mbsp to access those two bolts behind the flywheel. I have done this on two of motors with no problems.

my motor is out. and its torn down and at the machine shop as of this morning. Not sure how easy it will be to drill thru the aluminum baffle plate ( i believe its aluminun?) and anyone have pictures they could post up or show me. sorry for the thread jack. Pm me if you want.

Already done. Got two 1/4"npt plugs in there to keep road grime and water out. It works awesome. No more pulling tranny to change bearing support plate.

The funny thing is, i have seen a few fs engines at the jy with those holes drilled out and rubber pieces filling then in, from the factory. It took them that long to realize how beneficial those holes are

Did this today. Took way too long but after about a zillion trial and error fits it worked the way I wanted... 3 hours install.... Probably 3 times that for all the wiring! YAY!

whoa! would you be interested in making me a extension harness for the ecu like you have made? I have another plug somewhere
