Airless tires

these tires are all fine and dandy for the off road looking type tires but what about low pro's? I dont think this will work with a low profile tire w/o making it super stiff like a solid rubber tire almost.

u can't change the rims alone, it says that the tires are joined with the the rims....

The use of the Twill tire will be more likely industrial than commercial automotive applications. At high rates of speed the noise is simply unbareable.

Not to my knowledge. I know that the ones shown in a certain racing movie are fake... They did prototype a device that would go under the car with robotics and remote control that could cut wires, but that's waaaaaaaaaay too complicated for your everyday pursuit.

Yes, it's still in the lab for civilian use I guess. At least 10 years ago I remember seeing some demo footage of a little R/C car that would get dropped through the floor of a chase car, then zoom ahead to the bad guys car. With a strip sticking up to touch the car frame it was supposed to zap the electronics. Haven't heard anything about it since. The one zap gun in 2Fast 2Furious was fake, but I'm sure they're working on it. And the lawyers will have to work out the liability issues for public safety. Most cops can shoot worth a damn so maybe it isn't practical.

Remember in the movie Aliens, Ripley used that "strap on" human assist forklift contraption. No reason that couldn't be used in real life either.
