AFC-SplitSecond PSC1 Map Library

okay, if i dont increase boost, should i just use the supermap on my setup, and then tune it from there, im installing in march?

msp turbo/manifold/j/spipes
2.5 hi-flow cat exhaust
injen cai
custom fmic with hks ssq bov and maf moved so can route bov to atmosphere w/o stalling problems.

New Addition to the list:

I have the AFC V2, mods are:

GT28RS <--
Full turbo back exhaust
Injen CAI
Corksport FMIC
Walbro Fuel Pump
440cc Injectors
18 PSI Boost
Forged Internals with 8.5:1 compression
Thunder Manifold

It's just to get me by for a while till i can get the stand alone.

please someone help me out!!!

thank you kindly

I would start with the 440injector map and tune from there... The AFC map only goes up to 16psi btw.

^^^ +1 just start with a map you'd think would work best. Before I even installed the AFC I made a huge Excel spreadsheet comparing about 5 maps that could potentially apply to me (super, FMIC, etc.). I ended up going with the supermap and fortunately for me it was pretty close to what I needed. I just had to richen it up a little at lower RPM and lean it out a lot past 5500 RPM. To date I've only road-tuned like 2, 5, 7, and 9 psi and that was all before the 626 IM. When it gets a little warmer out and I have a little more time I'm going to go back and redo a lot of things. I don't like abusing these cars when it's below freezing outside.

k i will need help tuning it though, i tried on my own and it didn't work to well but the 440 map should be ok, will i be to drive the car without any other tuning, cause here's the thing, i'm gonna install all the stuff in Charlotte and drive to Atlanta to get it properly tuned on the dyno and everything, i don't plan on running the car hard for a while cause i blew the motor in July and getting it back from the shop tomorrow so i'll just need the map to get me by for a bit

Are you datalogging? If so, it's really easy - easier with another person with you in the car but definitely doable by yourself. Here's what I did: loaded map, drove car until warm then got on empty interstate. keep laptop in car on, lean over and hit "record" then step on it! i was doing 3rd gear runs because I don't like going 110 mph on public roads (80 gets me reckless, 110 gets me arrested). after the run, lean over again and hit "stop recording" and repeat the hole thing like 5-10 times. I then went back to my apt. and looked at the recordings and adjusted the map accordingly and reloaded it and repeated the same thing.

yeah i data log, it's the adding and subtracting the values that i have a hard time with, like do i go up in value for richer and lower the value for leaner or is it the other way around? (i don't have paper that came with it anymore)

Are you free to help me do this? I am installing my v2 (with fuel control) soon and would come to you (I am in charlottesville after 1MAR). Right now I am in Afghanistan.

A value less than 10 pulls fuel, greater than 10 adds fuel. A value of 10 is no change.

It sounds like you just need to have the AFC installed the same time its going to get dyno tuned. Tuning with the AFC isn't complex but it seems like you would be better off letting someone do the tuning for you.

question: if i have msp turbo setup on my p5, plus a fmic, and cai/bov...the supermap should be fine right? im not gonna scary lean in any places that could be dangerous untill i get to tune it perfectly?

It should be fine, not perfect but enough to get you going without going boom! It's a good start but I would definitely suggest refining it to match your setup.

I might be able to. March is going to be a rough month for me (design deadlines coming up) but I may have some free time and doing this might just convince me to finish my tune. Hopefully it will be warmer then as well.

im sure its in here but i just want to know what are good air fuel ratio numbers and what are bad? im having my car tuned and i just want to have a idea so when i watch him do it i can kinda comprehend.

The AFC is already installed and i've been using the supermap, i just have alot of things that i need to install and i need the tune for it also

I would say install and tune for each item individually, or at least that is what I plan on doing with my build. It'll take longer but IMO you'll get a better tune in the end and you'll understand air/fuel maps and what effects them more.

A few thoughts:
Your settings are incorrect. You want programmable signal calibrator and vacuum pressure. Change your over pressure to 1.1 and over rpm 6000.
You are going to need to take away alot of fuel, not add it. Your only tuned up to 5 psi. If you loaded this map, I'm willing to bet your car ran like a bag of smashed assholes. Look at some of the other 440 maps as a guideline. Always make sure your settings are correct before loadinga map. Do you have a wb?

this is my current scred up map, any suggestions would really help me out

I have a wideband and yeah it's running pig rich, drives horribly, i was at atunnining shop all day yesterday doing the fuel pump and 440's then the tuning started but we ran out of time so now i just have to drive like a grandma
