AFC-SplitSecond PSC1 Map Library

i'm at 14psi, if you look at my map you'll see it's from low 9's to high 7's, is the the kelly2 on the first page?

*sigh* i have created the absolute best map for my car but now the car's ECU is giving me s***, i'll load the map then the car performs like a champ, no bogging and no running lean, next day, bogging and lean, the ECU overwrites any map i put on there

Hey I've searched but i couldn't find that much, other than jeffmsp's map. I'm going to be installing my ss afc this coming week and I'm looking for a solid winter map, i can use as a baseline. Especially because since I'm located in Canada, I'm going to be in some really cold weather. For the winter I'm only using stock boost and my mods are in my sig, if there is anyone with similar mods and has a good map. Could you please pm me? It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I looked and the only winter map i saw was jeffmsp's. I figured since it hadnt been updated since 02-23-2006, someone could have made a different winter map.

It's a good start though. Chances are you aren't going to find a map that fits your application perfectly so you'll have to modify an existing or start from scratch. For example, the original SuperMap was good for me up to 5000 RPM so I just re-tuned from there. Now with my 626 IM, I have to redo the whole thing.

i will have to redo mine to, i'm putting on the 626 IM tomorrow and the GT28RS and ported TB

so we got the car up and running with new rod bearings and extra goodies, i didn't get to drive it cause it's running lean as **** and i didn't have my laptop with me today so tomorrow is tuning day

Here's my map. Still needs more part throttle adjustments but the car runs well.

Mods: FMIC, K&N, TBE w/ cat

anyone have posting for maps for a build something around like this??

GT28RS Turbo, Turbo Exhaust, Weapon-R Intake, Complete Forged Engine/Port Polish, 550cc Injectors, I'm running 8 compression on my engine.

I was hoping to find maps for heavily tuned protege's

Same here. I wouldnt mind seeing a map for the SS AFC V3 on a heavily modded car.

so i tried the relocated maf map from kelly2
it scared the s*** out of me today...the weather in miami is at around 68-70 and i did a pull from 3rd gear all the way tro red line..as soon as i hit 11psi the afr's went to 13.7
i was like. ****!
anyways, i insisted the engine wasn't hot enough. so on the highway i did a few pulls from 3rd thru 5th.
oh my ******* god....car ran awesome, it just kept pulling, but i did notice once or twice that around 5000 rpms, the afr's deep into the 10's and it bogs down a little bit.

i did aqbout 4 or 5 sequences like this and oh man...

when shifting from 4th to 5th it backfired....so awesome!

anyways, can't wait for the dyno this weekend to see if the map actually helps a little bit.

i just need to know how to tune it myself...

How much boost are you guys running, that would help so ppl could relate to the mods you have. There is a 14psi map on the first page.

I just got my ss afc and finally got it to work today. I tried the map that DsmConvert uploaded on the first page and i actually feel a bit of a difference. However, im not able to get rid of the hesitation.

How do you guys know how to adjust the ratios and not mess anything up? Will i need to get it dynoed to actually get proper a/f numbers.

Im semi-stock not looking to get any big numbers(yet).

A value less than 10 pulls fuel, greater than 10 adds fuel. A value of 10 is no change.

If this is the case, how does the supermap work, then? For example, at 2psi the value is 9.9 for every rpm point in the map. This would mean that it should technically make the car run leaner than stoich anywhere before 4k rpm since the stock map only runs rich 4k-5.5krpm, no? Instead, the afr actually drops to around 12.5. This means that fuel is being added. I never understood this. The manual also confirms your statement about the values. It just doesn't make sense?

No, that is not what it means. Leaving the value at 10, in any given cell, means when the AFC reads those specific values (2psi, whatever RPM) it will not change the signal going to the ECU. Which means at that specific value you will be running on the stock MSP ECU values (as if the AFC wasn't installed at all). Decreasing the number will make the car run a bit leaner than it does with the stock MSP ECU, and increasing the number will make the car run richer than the stock MSP ECU. For example, and these values are not accurate but being used to prove a point:

2psi, 2000rpms
Cell value = 10 -> Car runs at 12.1 A/F
Cell value = 9.9 -> Car runs at 12.0 A/F
Cell value = 10.1 -> Car runs at 12.2 A/F
* Note these values are theoretical, not actual.

This is the opposite of what the manual states, i believe

It is? It's been a while since I've had and worked with the AFC, so I might be mistaken. Either way, you get the point of what I was trying to say right? The values aren't an offset of stoich, they are an offset of whatever the stock ECU A/F is at any given psi/rpm value.
