Ok so I turned me car on yesterday And just the ABS light came on. So I turned the car off and turned it back on and it had went away. Now today I turned my car on and the ABS light and brake light came on. I tried turning the car off and disconnecting the batt with no luck of getting it to go away. Anybody know what's going on here?

abs codes are not the same as CEL codes, you need to read them differently. basically you have a fault with the ABS system, you could be lucky and it only be a safegaurd like low brake fluid or worn brake pads.

check the shop manual you can jump a wire on the diag port in the engine bay to read the codes off

Awesome. I know the brake fluid isn't low so that's not it. Well I took it out for a drive and the brakes felt normal. 30 seconds into my drive both lights went out. I take it to the gas station, fill er up and get going back home and the lights are back on. I'm fed up with these damn cars. MSP=money pit. Screw trying to make this car a 400hp beast. It ain't even worth it. Its just a damn shame I owe too much on the car to sell it today or I would.

just simmer down check the brake pads maybe there worn out
could also be a broken abs sensor probabley left rear

pads or low fluid (would go hand in hand unless theres a leak) would throw the brake light, but the ABS light makes it a different story. Most likely a sensor is dead, unless you snipped some wires or something if you were doing work recently.

You could also have a bad ABS sensor as well, they are not cheap to replace.

i am actually having the same issue, think it is the sensor... if your ok with abs light... just pull the fuse and call it a day. you dont technically need abs as im sure you know (i realize this may be a little ghetto lol)

Thanks for the help. It keeps going off and on randomly. Maybe its Just a loose sensor or wire. Idk. But I've decided I'm selling the car so I gotta get that fixed before I do

do this, once you jump the right pin it will flash the codes out with the abs light, that way you can pinpoint what is wrong

Not adding anything new here but fwiw I had the same indications... brake light + ABS light at the same time. Problem was a bad wheel speed sensor.

did it go on and off at first at random times? thats what mine did and now it just stays on with no difference in the braking of the car from normal.

Hmm. Ok. Well I took the car off the road. Gonna fix the problem and get a couple dents pulled then she is getting sold.
