Well its a 200 beans now and by the time the bid is up it will be like 300. It definetly will need a rebuld for 350 dollars. Total cost will be 650 dollars for an outdated turbo that is a junkyard special. The compressor efficiency is poor compared to newer garrett t3 designs. Would I buy it........NO.
Save your self the headache and have piece of mind with a new efficient unit for 700 beans. If you wanna buy used stuff buy an intercooler or bov. These things are not as complex and will not deteriate(sp? over time like a turbo
or just ask mikesmazda...........he will tell you the problems he encountered with used turbos. Thats the last thing you wanna skimp on. Make sure you have good timing retard capabilities, plenty of fuel, a good turbo and lotsa gauges to monitor evrything and you should be good. Better to spend a couple hundred here and there then to loose a whole motor for a couple grand
Cool thanks for the info, I'm in Alaska and it would cost a load to get a kit shipped here. I will probably wait till next summer when I get back in the states and get like the FM Kit or something. But thanks again for the info.
