Last Summer, wanting a 4-seat convertible with a stick I bought a Mustang. It was a decent convertible, but not a fun car to drive. It was longer and wider than my MPV while barely seating 4 people. The car was so wide and the hood so tall and long that I never got comfortable with where the corners of the car were, and parking and just turning was kind of a b****.

Finally, I'd had enough, and last Wednesday traded it in on a LOADED Mazda6. It's nice to be an all-Mazda family again.

It's a 6s Sport, 5-speed, Moonroof, auto-dim mirror, leather, heated seats and mirrors, Bose, 6-disc. It's nice. I like it a lot. It's quiet and fast, a combination that could lead to a lot of this: (five-0) since I generally have no idea how fast I'm going most of the time!

I have no real mod plans at this point, just an Ipod and Droid input for the stereo, and painting the brake calipers as they're rusted/oxidized and ugly as hell. I'd like to go short shifter, but I haven't gotten to try anyone else's, so I don't know if there's one that has that precision feel like the B&M for the P5.

Lookin good! Shave the door mouldings and get rid of the fishing pole on top and it'll look even better though. Glad to see you're back (totally) in the Mazda family!

Are the moldings just "heat and peel" like the P5?

Welcome to awesome-town. I'd keep the side moldings (looks odd without them) but swap in clear sidemarkers. #1 quick, cheap, easy mod that cleans up the look.

For short shifter check out TWM. They are a Canadian company out of Quebec. I have the stage 1. Found the stage 2 way to short.

The Stage 1 keeps the height level with the arm rest which I like. Highly suggest some base bushings as well. Makes a big difference. I personally got the Stage 1, a weighted knob, leather boot with stitching to match the exterior colour, and the base bushings. Looks very sharp.

Nice 6 ENJOY and welcome back!

See, the moldings are too much distraction for me. The smooth door lines like the MS6 has seem much cleaner and suit the curves more IMO.

I do agree, either clear or smoked (LED) side markers. Much more fitting on silver/grey.

Welcome man! I'm rocking the Mazdaspeed STS and love it. It's same height as the stock shifter but it's stiffer and much more precise. I also purchased the TWM shifter bracket with makes it possible to shift into 1st gear while the car is moving, as well as stiffen up the shifts even more than just the STS.

Door moldings look good. Except mine... the paint is starting to come off on the driver's side. WTF? Car is only 4.5 years old.
