Are you taking it off? get a new gaset..

then a can of brake parts cleaner and a toothbrush...

i would suggest getting a can of MAF sensor cleaner too and clean that

I don't think I'm taking it off. I just think there is some crap built up in there.

New gasket? like... valve cover gasket?

if you take it off youll need a new throttle body gasket.. it goes between the throttle body and the manifold.

i would suggest take it off to prevent from any crap that gets knocked loose from going into the intake..

That shouldn't be too expensive, I'd imagine. That's a small gasket. The trick will be finding one. FM and GoMiata carry all the other gaskets, but I haven't seen the throttle body gasket.

Mazda will have it or they can order it.. and i cant see it being more than $10-$15 at a dealer

I found it for $2.00 online. I'm pretty sure I don't trust that.

My order is getting pricier by the second.
Plug wires: $40
Plugs: $10
K&N Filter: $42
Gasket: $15

Sean...save yourself the $6 or so as I have a can of MAF cleaner and will bring it up for you to use.

Mark...any bays open to do that auto-tranny drain/fill? Doesn't seem too hard but in all honesty I'd rather have a few people around that know more than me and can offer advice/tips.
