2008.5 MAZDASPEED3 - Now in CRYSTAL WHITE and METROPOLITAN GRAY

Just got back from the dealership. I filled out the order form for a 2008 WHITE ms3 GT. I put a deposit on it and they did a credit check and loosley valued my trade because it will be APRIL/MAY when my new car arrives. I was talking to the MANAGER on how he verified. He called a big-shot Northeast Region Mazda Sales/Supply guy who verified. They said the order I made will be placed with the factory as soon as they make the switch to 2008.5s. I just hope that the new gt alcantara seats will be heated like the base 3 gt models, probably not because there was no mention but all other info posted here on first page is accurate.

In summary: Order Paper filled out, Money down, Car arrives April or May... White MS3 GT in America, ill be one of the first. (2thumbs)

How much did they make you front. Im thinking of doing the same thing and i am naive on how the whole process works

i remember when the speed first came out. they wanted 1000 down to hold it and check your credit.

there's always room for negotiation, never let them tell you otherwise. (yes)

But if you put money down it seems like you have lost your most powerfull move wich would be to walk away from the table if you don't like your deal.

Money down on WHITE MS3

$100 is about the mininum amount you can put down on a car to place an order. It puts your name on the order sheet and no one can take it from you by putting more money down or anything else, it is basically a contract signed with cash guaranteeing you this car.
I didnt try to negotiate the price tonite and with the value of my trade up in the air, i wont have to until they have a delivery date for me. thats when my trade gets valued for real and it gives me the chance to haggle. Although the fact that i came to them for this car and they did not have to "sell" it to me doesnt give me much leverage in bargaining. I will try to knock $500 off the msrp but will not pay a penny more than sticker.
The dealer knows to call me when the order is placed, the car is manufactured, when the car is in port, and when it will be delivered. Im going along for the safety-check drive as soon as it gets off the truck so I know my car is treated right. i have it all planned out, any more questions, i will try to answer them.

well i believe they know you wont walk away seeing how you will put 1000 dollars towards a car that you might not possibly see untill may. I believe the deal would be to negotiate price upon placing your security deposit? correct me if I,m wrong.

i can leave the deal at any time up until i drive the car off the lot and i will get my deposit back.
As far as having to put $1000 down, it varies from dealer to dealer but i am young, 23, but solely own my 05 m3s and it is paid off so they know i am good for the deal.
negotiation will be tougher but still possible.

yea you can walk away from anything.... up till you signed the papers. this is only on a NEW car. if its a used you can buy a 2day cancellation. which means that you can drive the car for 2days and take it back without any other fees. also a dealer can charge you a restocking fee to take the car back without the 2day cancellation. i jus looked this up on the dmv site

Is it me or am I reading the scan on the 1st page wrong. I see nothing on there stating that the mazdaSPEED3 is adding white.

that's it exactly. before throwing money down, low ball them as much as possible on the price. when i picked up my MS3, i told them I am not taking this car for more than $19,000 as "that's what i think it's worth." got away with it at $22k.

Look at the other chart that I posted right below that. The reason they didnt say anything about adding the white on the shet is because the sheet is for the entire 3 lineup and CWP is not a NEW color to the whole lineup. Just like it dosent say that SS is being discontinued on the MS3 because it will still be available on the MZ3.

Here now its closer.....
Acording to the source The White is not a NEW color to the Whole lineup so it dosent say that its added. Just like it dosent say that SS has been deleted because you can still get it on the MZ3. Maybe this will help.....

The real treat is for the MZ3 buyers they get 4 NEW colors... well Copper red isint new but its cool that its making a comeback. Also the MZ3 Grang touring get the added power seat( Did it have that before?)

22k out the door price?

throw some taxes and it pumps it up, but selling price on my purchase agreement is $22k. MS3 cosmic blue GT, no nav. i was negotiating for 3 1/2 hours with 3 different sales people, including the owner of the dealership. quite the customer service story. (boom08)

For the recor I said I would find out for sure today if this is true...IT IS After I delivered my horrible speech in my speech 191 class today I went to the dealership that I worked at before going back to college and I talked to the General manager about it. He the took those same sheets of papper that I got scans of from my other source and handed them to me. So I will say it again for the record IT IS TRUE!!!!
