2008.5 MAZDASPEED3 - Now in CRYSTAL WHITE and METROPOLITAN GRAY

Right...limited production run. 2007 was limited. With this news I am having serious doubts there are any limitations on the production of the MS3 anymore. The car is doing great business...it takes nothing more than a nod from Mazda to make more of them to meet demand, and it appears they are doing so. Our cars are no longer going to be as unique.
I have been keeping track of the Speed3 inventory in the San Fran area and they are moving very briskly. I'd say each new one is sold in no more than 1-2 weeks if that. I saw speed6 that was not sold for like 6 months. So the Speed3 are doing well. I sure hope when I pick mine up I won't start to see one on every block like the Civic Si. That would take the fun out of owning a Speed3.

Ah I remember when I was buying my Cosmic Blue, I was looking at the crystal white pearl 3hb in the showroom and thinking man I wish I could have that color, then months later I found out that Canada got it, I was pissed, now their bringing it here, well Im just as pissed but atleast my car will look dated to everyone though, like those orange Srt4s, you know what year they are because of the color, you think in the back of your head ha ha you didnt get to pick the Si Blue, instead you got poop orange, lol aahhh j/K. Which makes it rare at the same time.... They should have had Mp3 and white from the get go, but I guess they didnt have a problem with sales so no reason I guess, now this is incentive for everyone that held back...Luckiess...(pissed)
On a plus side I do like my color, and so do old people....Anyone else get a lot of comps from the old???? I find it very odd, Ive even caught them peering in my windows when its parked, asking me what that noise was when they catch me at redlights, its strange, it must be the Color/Stationwagon Appeal....And if I ever lemon my car I could pick a new color??!!

Hopefully they are going to think about the long term and re-sale values rather than short term but thats just me. However, it WOULD be appropriate for the Mazdaspeed3 to see 3 years of production with a color change halfway through. Is this what they are thinking?

I just hope they dont keep making the speed3 after 08.I want the value of my car to stay high and if they keep making them then it will just keep going down.I do wish I had the grey tho.

I'm very much interested in the interior pieces, like the gloss black parts. My '08 Tribute has that in it, and it is GORGEOUS! Seriously, it just sets it off in the interior! If that is really truly coming to the MS3, I will find a way to purchase those parts and slap them in mine.

I'm still happy with my CBM GT; the new colors are OK, but nothing I would have picked over CBM. That said, had Mazda made a bright yellow or orange available...
If you have ever had a white car before, you would never want another.
White shows dirt the opposite of black. Where black shows DUST it does not show bug spots, tar, road grime etc.
White does not show DUST, but it will show everything else. Every bug you hit you will see, every rock chip, spec of road tar etc.
I normally have black cars (MY MS3 included) but in 2000 I traded in my Black Volvo 850T for a White Chevy Pickup (Got a Saint Bernard and needed the back).
I WILL NEVER, have another white car. EVER. I swear I spent HOURS cleaning the front of that Truck and it was a losing battle. Between the rock chips, tar and bugs I could not keep that front clean.
Black I can handle. Sure it sucks to wash it and an hour later have a layer of dust. But honestly when its clean and polished properly there is nothing that looks as good.

too funny, I am just the opposite, this is my first black car, and it shows all kinds of dirt wayyyyyyyyy more than my white vw ever did. I'd get white again, but but not black. To each there own I spose...

Yah black shows Dust and Pollen as well as WaterMarks and Swirls. But if you do your washing, drying and polishing right, the only thing you will see is Dust/Pollen (In about 10m but oh well)
Wait till you wash the front of your MS3 in like 2mins without having to bust out the tar/bug remover and scrub pad. Not to mention inside the wheel well lip and the bottom of the doors behing the front wheels.
I will live with the dust (burnout)
