"I'm sorry what was the question?"

Not sure, think I thread jacked :)

anywho....back to the topic at hand.

stock is about 6.6-7.1 right?

This car is se dependent on the driver, it is rediculous. I bought every magazine article that had the MSP in it.

The overall average time for like 6 magazines was 0-60 in ~7 sec. Ther was a high of like 7.4 (maybe automobile, i forget) and a low of 6.6 (motortrend).

between the wheelspin, and the tricky 1-2 shift, and then knowing when to shift due to the way the turbo kicks in....yeah, very very driver dependant.

That's why when I see these kill stories, or MSP vs x threads, and magazine articles., I don't really care about them.

I would however, like to see an updated review of the msp with the ecu flash installed.

someone should email all the mags informing them of the flash and tell them to do a "Second Look" type deal at the mazdaspeed.

WEll 0-60 times huh i would say mine at 10 psi is about 5.5 because my 60 foot time in the 1.8th mile is between a 2.30-2.27 and that was when it was about 95 outside.... so im going to the track on thursday night to run its going to be about 50 outside so im looking for a time run around 9.40-9.50 somewhere around there... at 11 psi.. tell me what you think? (msporange

Well, your time in the 1/8 translates to a 14.9-15.1 in the 1/4. I would think that 5.5 would get you into the low 14's in the 1/4 or very low 9's in the 1/8 at least. Did you get a lot of wheelspin? That would explain how you could get 5.5 to 60 but only 9.59 in the 1/8.

Post flash with 10-12 PSI my car will bounce off the rev limiter in the first 2 gears without moving so hooking this car up is a real challenge.
Under a more controlled launch it will spin hard in first, and spin fairly hard in 2nd for a moment and then the wheel can jerk just a bit as it regains traction. With more mods this car will be even more of a beotch to get the power to the ground.

hi, im new and im in lookin for a new car..its between the Spec-V, Jetta 1.8T, and the MSP(in orange)..i live in canada, i was wondering about this wheel hop..is it that bad?..and what colors are available to you guys..here we only have orange, grey and yellow for the MSP.

Blu by u this car spins alot in 1st and 2nd hard to drive it. ive been racing since i was 15. raced professionally for 3 years in the late 90's. this is the 1st front wheel drive car i have raced. this car is very hard to drive. my buddy has a type r with i/h/e and je pistons and his runs 9.50 with drag tires falken i think... so yes it spins alot and it bogs down quite a bit spooling is sometimes lagging. but i know it will go 9.30-9.50 but we will see

Well after the flash I have hardly an wheel hop at all.
It used to dance like a retard with a Michael Jackson complex.
The power delivery is smooth, pre flash it would suddenly SLAM then then the motor would start trying to bounce its way through the hood.
