The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Yeah, that's why I'd never have a Lotus Super 7 / Caterham. Garbage I tell you!

Is that sarcasm? I thought those were noted as some of the best handling cars? I mean, 2nd to the Miata, of course. (lulz)

Whatever dude, they've got solid rear axles, why would I want one of those? Eww gross!

Is a '89 Probe going to be reliable enough to drive to Cleveland everyday?

It's only one of the best motors Mazda has built... Up until a few years ago (maybe with the advent of skyactiv?) they were still using it as the basis for their diesel architecture.

I've never heard anything good about Probes. lol Any one I've ever been around has given me the impression of them being "throw away" cars.

Steph had one when we first started dating. She had to have a tranny put in it, then it overheated and just about blew the motor. Never got a chance to figure out what was wrong with it, cause she got a DUI and the car was just sitting in the driveway. Her parents wound up giving it to a friend of her dad's and he scraped it.

I just wouldn't have put my trust in a 23 year old car to get me an hour to work and back everyday....but that's just me. :D

The 2nd gen was rated the best handling FWD car when it came out. The 1st gens handled excellently as well. I guess I'm a lot more fond of the old stuff than the new.

But I've had a few 2nd gen GT's, and they were both trashed. One of them had rice and noodles in the radiator. Literally.

The autos were just s***, though. Ford built the autos and there were nothing but problems. I know on the 4cyl 2nd gens, some of them blew in as little as 80k miles, under stock power, and it has almost no power, so..... yeah. Like a rock, as in "able to hold down a stack of papers." The manuals are fine.

They were... you just didn't know what they were. LOL. I went thru my old hot wheels a few months ago and was surprised at what I had.
