speedracer79 thanks for the advice I will definitely try that this weekend! Hopefully that will fix the problem. also tweety2300 the windows and everything else open and work just fine in fact my windows open really fast for a car that is 8 years old. Oh and yes I am aware that the mp5 and mp3 bumper have side markers I will just tie into one of the existing reflector lights built into my headlights and run off that power. The mp5 headlights do not have the amper reflector that lights up inside them instead they have as you mentioned the side marker so I am essentially just going to have two side markers no biggie.

Just an fyi the protege 5 mp3 and msp( except 03.5) bumpers are the same iirc the msp and mp3 are made of urethane not sure if the p5 is fiberglass or urethane though

03.5 bumper is the same it just has a lip attached.

There were no options for the msp or mp3. The mp3 doesn't even have abs or cruise control. I'm suprised it even has air bags. The 03.5 msp came with a lip aparently a different shift knob and spoiler and no fog lights

I have a 2002 P5 but put a 2003 Bumper on it to "Delete" the side markers completely.

ok wait I can get an mp3 front bumper that does not have side markers? If so I'll just cut into the front for fog lights thats far easier then hiding the hold from the side markers on the mp5 bumper.

some people are just confuseing you.. really any bumper from a p5/msp with out the lip /and mp3 looks awesome even if u buy one with the side markers on it it still looks good and the side markers can even save ur life.. just buy that bumper off ebay and paint it and find some fogs and call it good

The MSP had a lot more than that, the 03.5 had a different front and rear lip, spoiler, side skirts, different seats and mazdaspeed floormats. Mazdaspeed door sills, silver Mazdaspeed gauges, shorter shifter, Mazdaspeed pedals and shift knob, full Kenwood stereo with an 8" sub and 250 watt amp, racing beat springs and swaybars, tokico struts, racing hart rims, larger brakes from the v6 626, the turbo kit, limited slip diff, Mazdaspeed engine cover, silver strut tower brace, colormatched mirrors and upper grille, antenna integrated into the rear glass. The 03s had the same bumper as the MP3 with the small black lip on the bottom and the same rear lip and spoiler and slighly different gauges, floormats, seats, wheel finish, shift knob and pedals as the 03.5s. Not to mention the unique colors. You could not get a sunroof, side airbags or cruise control from the factory but ABS was standard.

Are you referring to the 01-02 fenders without the sidemarkers? The US P5s all had the lights on the sides of the front bumper, regardless if it was an 02 or 03.

well you can get one a few places but like someone posted before the one on ebay for 190 shipped youll probably pay more for it to be w/o sidemarkers but youll pay either way to get them removed so its up to you id rather buy this one and remove the lights but thats just me.

Sure is, kinda like the Canadian MSPs didn't have build numbers, nor did they get the Mazdaspeed floormats, I wish I had some 03 Canadian P5 headlights.

I had to find an MSP to get mine, waited until I found one with the original body kit.

Umm there was a difference between the 03 msp andd 03.5 all that was not options and I've never heard of an msp with a sunroof unless someone had it custom put there
