What have you done to your MSP today?

prob just gonna take a holesaw to this and weld it onto some pipe.

never seen this kind of flange though. probably a v1 valve

Found one of my exhaust hangers were ripped. It's still holding it up though. Looks like it's time to upgrade. Also sounds like my exhaust manifold may be developing a leak again.. FML oh well, car is going into storage in a couple of months when I go to Iraq for the second time. Looking forward to doing a build thread when I get back.

I have a brand new set of Corksport poly hangers if you'd like to get ahold of them. I accidentally ordered 2 sets, only needed 1.

a V1 valve? how does having a v1 relate to that flange?
i have a V1 valve and mine doesnt have that type of flange, just a normal hks flange

I was responding to this:

I haven't seen that flange design either, but given that its paired with an old ass valve, I'd say its possible that its just a design which has long since been abandoned.

yea i know you were, just didnt understand the connection
i thought u were saying that V1's can only use that type of flange....missunderstood

carry on

drove my car to work today and on the way there, something strange happened..MY CEL WENT OFF FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER A FREAKING YEAR!!! thanks to recently installing a non fouler. It's nice to drive without the annoying CEL on. Just in time for my annual state inspection in about a week.

Old but not even a fingerprint on it. Apparently it was new and unused. No leaks and not adjustable but as long as it works im happy.

Dunno. Havent taken the backside appart but friend has a v1 and says his isnt adjustable. Looks like prev owner tried to open this one cause one of the nut sockets is stripped so i need a small socket to open that one.

Oh... Goodie...wonder what i got then. Has hks silkscreened on the body , nothing on the back.

I think the V2s had the fins on the side, but I could be wrong... if I'm right, I'm going to bet you got a knockoff. I had a V1 (yellow HKS on the top, adjuster on the back) and now I have a V3...

ill open it up and have a lookie inside. if its a knockoff, as long as it works properly ill be happy enough. Just pawn it off with the piping when i upgrade to a proper intercooler package.
only thing that would sting is that i could have got a similar knockoff on silicon intakes for $40 lol.

so pulled out the paper work that came with the valve. pn is 1421-sa001. some people say their real hks valves didnt come with adjustment screws so now sure.

if its a v1 then it came with an adjustment screw, they didnt come out with the auto adjust until the v2's
and like wagon said, the HKS should be screened on top in a yellow-ish color
