What have you done to your MSP today?

Destineal what do you have for power adders? I dynod with 159tq and 157hp about a 9 months ago, and all I had done was a cone filter on the mar and a 3inch exhaust from the cat back, and 167k ish miles lol

And today I will be putting a new clutch slave cyl along with a new su ss clutch line. Anyone know what size line wrench I will be needing?

hmm power adders....I think the only thing that could be considered a power adder on my car would be the 3 inch exhaust from the j-pipe back.Cone filter on the turbo connected by 2 pipes connected by a 45 coupler. I don"t know if thats good or bad for performance, but I do remember one of the testers pointing it out to another guy at the shop(hey take a look at this filter) his voice tone wasn't of one of concern though. Also to be noted are the old oil, old plugs, old pcv valve and the over an hour drive to the dyno shop.

No point in restating what I predicted months ago.

Wagon... you're so awesome. I wish, that one day, I too can be as cool as you are.

Sheesh... I sure won't miss this area of these forums. Some of you MSP'ers are pretty chill but some (I'll give you one guess) are just straight up asshats for no apparent reason. Thanks to those who made me feel welcomed.

Goodbye paper mache LSD and engine made of glass... hello reliability.

I'll miss your dirty goatee.

and today I installed yet another set of coil packs so we will see if these work or not, and I also took some time to find a wiring diagram for the AEM as well as labeling which wires I need and which I do not. With the several sets of instructions I have now, it doesn't look like the install should be all that bad. Just finding enough time to do it is the hard part.

Went back to winter mode... 03 RH's up front, 03.5's rear, steel hood.

Also did an oil change.

Side note: I do not recommend doing any of this in windy 20 degree weather.

Time to get on refinishing the CF hood for hopeful sale in spring, and possibly taking the FDs to a full polish on the lip, and maybe also painting the center sections.

how much would you sell your cf hood for, unfinished?

mucked around trying to get my new hid kit installed.. mixed feelings. first of all, my battery is dead so i dunno if they still work after putting the bumper back on lol... this new kit has the power connector right on the ballast which sucks, cause i installed my power wire in the crashbar and made it long enough for the techones that have a tail for the power..
no mounting holes on the body either, so had to go out and get doublesided tape lol. and after putting the bumper back on and all that goodness, they stopped working.

better better be my dead battery. otherwise, im just gonna start buying silver stars lol

oh, and the weekend is better. busted the bpv fitting on my stock hotpipe. glued it, but thank god i moved the maf to the cold side in case it blows off again.
ill be mucking with this technoweld stuff to make a flange pipe for my hks this week me thinks. just need to find a small length of 1" alu pipe. no sense buying a 6 ft stick of it.

Good luck with finding 1" pipe. I looked all over my ****** town plus some places on the internet and could not find a small piece of it, only ridiculous quantities like 10 feet lengths.

No idea, but its really not in bad shape. It basically just needs a few runs in the redone clearcoat fixed, and some sanding. I intend to get it fixed up this winter. Shipping it will be a challenge I'm sure...

System too lean, correct? I would probably fix that before you romp on the gas again.

I romp on it all the time. It's only really lean at idle, and thats only if the HVAC system is off. I think the EGR may be bad...still got a few vac lines to finish, but i'm waiting.

how many times have i asked for a number and not got one from you now wagon lol...

jumped my car and drove around for like an hour. hids working all good and from what i can tell, the glue fix on hotpipe has held. still reading 7 psi at the manifold.
1" pipe IS hard to find. i just need literally a nipple of it. and if i was gonna bother ordering ir on the interwebs, id just order a damn flange lol.

The flange that came with my ssqv is a nipple style, but must be really old. it doesn't look like any of the current ones i've seen.

if i cant find a peice of pipe that costs less than like $20, ill just get a 2" holesaw instead and cut off the nipple, weld the ****** on a pipe as it is. but then i have to fight with that damn clip again... hate.
Kinda wanna order an sti flange. then if i need to take the thing off, its just two bolts intead of modifying a pair of pliars to compress the clip enough, where my SNAP RING PLIARS dont actually work.

/rant.

hah. no worries. i'm probably gonna buy a friends RC hood. but im not spending more than $500 shipped on a used one. its getting painted completely.

Forge Motorsports is where I got mine. I ordered it as 25mm, which is about 1", in aluminum. Don't remember the price, but it didn't seem like that much.
