AEM F/I controller

Yeah still have stock mid pipe, didn't realize it already had a bung. Thanks for the tip. I'd have looked pretty dumb taking my car in to get it welded in. Although most shops probably wouldn't have even told me and charged me anyway.

at the very least theyd charge you 30 bucks for putting the car up and embarrassing yourself. shops around me are terrible with things like that - one shop tried to charge me a 110 diagnostic/estimate fee when i got rear ended. they claimed it was "probably refundable when i filed my claim".

weve all been there man im glad i could help.

Looks like the AEM is the best bet. It's warming up a bit now and the hesitation/stumble is becoming more frequent again.

What else should I purchase to help with the install? Anyone get a patch wiring harness to avoid cutting the stock wires?

Is a wideband necessary or is tapping the stock narrowband good enough? I have a friend with an LM1 that would probably sell it to me cheap. Probably good to have, just don't like the idea of having a bung welded in by some random muffler shop.

I need info info info! My FMIC kit should be in the mail soon and I am getting a piggyback system soon when I find what which is better. I already have a AEM Wideband And I wanted to maybe go with the AEM FIC, but this is my DD and I can't afford unnecessary down time.

I'm have an aem fic completey wired up on a jumper harness that I'm ready to part with. I'll post up a sale thread when I get a minute.

With a bit more forum support, the AEM seems like a pretty capable tuning option for us, piggyback wise. I'd like to wait for some others to run this successfully, then I'd switch. I hope it works out well.

i have one in my car, but my car wont start with it plugged in and threw a cel when i tried to start it. i have a 1k ohm resistor but 1watt not 1/2. I havent pulled the cel code yet, but i bet its the MAF. The car starts finewhen i pull the FIC out and plug the harness in to take it out of the loop. I have a FIC 8. anyone know why it wont start. I have the setup all in percentages instead of volts. any suggestions

mag sensor or hall sensor you used?

You gotta use mag sensor.... Intercept the crank signal +/- and camshaft signal +/-
