multiple cynlinder misfire

when i drive at wot my car stuttered and my engine light came on. i plug my ap in to check and it said random/ multiple cynlinder misfiring. anybody have a clue what this means..

check your spark plugs and coils

Also check the gear selector and if its in the "6" location, don't go WOT. It is an over drive gear. Move it from "6" and place in "4" and try again.

Water was in the valve cover recess that allows access to the spark plug, plug wire and coil -- not in the cylinder block. Remember? Water inside a cylinder = bent connecting rods, bent valves, damaged piston, etc. Water does not compress. Engine would likely lock up and not even turn over.

But, true, getting water under the intercooler and letting it stand in the valve cover recesses could cause one or more coil packs to misfire if they are wet.

I had that same problem a while back and it turned out to be a fried fuel pump and 2 destroyed plugs. If your car isn't modded or is only lightly modded, just take it to the dealer and have them do it. Your car has a warranty for a reason. Good luck!

i know exactly what the problem is. You need new spark plugs and make sure you gap them. this is the EXACT same thing that happened to me a couple weeks ago.

i had new spark plugs. and they came pregapped. i had them on for like almost a month and they were fine. until just a couple of days ago. my gas mileage was bad as hell too.. i just put the stock ones back in and it running normal again. lets see if it lasts though. and i'm not really stock either. you can say i'm like a stage 2.
