yes
I'm all for knock-offs if they work good!
I tried the ebay knockoff Greddy type-s and I will say it held and performed BETTER than the real greddy type-s. I would say brand name has no effect on my purchasing power, if it works, thats all that matters for me.
I'll await the pics of the hood duct cutting. I have my HKS in vta mode right now(runs great btw) but would like to try recirc, but cannot get it done with the hood dutcing there and want to see what you cut off to get it to work
I just would not trust VTA on a car specifically designed for 100% recirc. IMO you are rolling the dice.
There is no way to position the BOV without cutting a hole in your hood?
this is why HKS made their flange the way that they did, angled downward away from the hood
which flange is that? I have seen the CP-E kit I believe it is, and has an odd looking flange but does go away from the hood. Is there another version of the flange made by HKS that does this?

you can turn the valve/flange so it angles downwards
thats the weird angles flange I was thinking about. Any idea if you guys sell that flange by itself? If so I think anyone with this valve would love it buy that flange to avoid that whole hassle. I assume I could also recirc it too since it would be angled like that. Without being able to twist the valve down (and not hit the hood) It seems impossible to recirc it unless modifying the recirc tube
HKS makes it but only sells it with the kit at this time![]()
