Superprotege still racing awaiting the completion of his big brother, supermazda3

Hahahaha and the countdown was close to 0!

Now we must discuss the self destruction of the axles... Alfredo?

LOL...yeah it popped on the steel bar itself. Literally twisted in two. I have a really good pic but am at school right now. Ill post it when I get home. You can hear it snap if you listen for it on the video I posted.

What Exactly SuperMazda3 its about ? what type of turbo kit its going to run ? any mod list ? what are the target numbers they are looking to achieve ?

On the post count that's f'kin weird! The spline is the end on the shaft that goes into the tranny with the snap ring on it. I would assume that's the next weak point past the cv joint.

I was thinking of going with MSP axles at least with my forged motor and PAR gearset going in and eventually Quaife. I may just stick with what I have since the MSP has the same spline as the reg. protege.

I'd rather replace an axle than have to tear apart my tranny ever again!!!

I pick them up at the junk yard for around $100 and then install them with new tranny fluid and call it a day. :-) So far i've been through three I think. I should pick another one up soon just incase.

This tranny is going to be something very special and cost way more than $100. So I'd rather have a place to give out (axles) once I decide to put some slicks on there and hook-up!

Supermazd3 info

To answer Miguel's question, we are going to keep the specs really general right now. A Garrett Turbo bigger than a GT35R, roll cage, sick tune, Haltech, definitely race axles and several prayers. They have changes the classes this year that NOPI is sponsoring the series. Previously, when superprotege competed, it was in the Sports FWD Class but now we have to compete in Turbo Street Class to run slicks. This class now includes AWD & RWD 4 cylinder and rotary cars. In order to really compete, the car needs to be running low 10s. We are trying not to use nitrous but it may be required to compete with AWD & RWD cars.

To answer Shane02pro5 question, the axle broke in the center section between the 2 rubber bootings (I am no mechanic). Alfredo will post the pics of this.

Wow, probably you guys need a Garrett GT45 Blowzilla then, so these car is not going to be street legal, i mean like a fast sreet car, daily driven ? that would be very nice to have a fast as hell car but also to be able to drive it in the street, if not mistaken street legal is up to 999 Horsepower...

why are you keeping the specs really general???
i love how ppl always say "sick tune." so its running a huge turbo with a sick ass tune. how about NOSSSS

That is very weird! I'm needing to get a new driver side axle since my cv joint has been popping for quite a while. I was planning on upgrading to MSP at least, the cv joint is a bit beefier I believe. I thought that would be the common breaking point!

There's a reason we have not disclosed details. People will start making their claims an what not. So simply sit back and enjoy the upcoming pictures. WE PROMISE it is worth taking a look at. I think next week sometime OR SO there will be pics of some welding INSIDE the car. (cool)

The MSP axles are identical except for the 24mm shafts instead of 22mm. For the price, the DSS ones are a much better idea.
