you dont even need the clutch to drive the car how hard can it be

I need it to get the thing moving... There's a ton of lights on the way too, so I'll have to stop a few times... Knowing my luck, I'll hit every one of the red

hmm... interesting.

on another note, i heard back from corbeau. They're just shipping me a new slider. Customer service ftw!

lol nice.

I'm feeling a lot better abt the car now. Even tho she's still parked for a while, I got the passenger side in on the new corbeau bracket (still waiting on the replacement for the driver's side). The seats fit great and are really comfortable. They're more upright, giving a better driving position, and enough room that the roll bar should fit perfectly :D

On that note, I should have a couple of seats for sale (preferably locally lol) soon.

Man, I haven't updated this mofo in a while.

Last Friday night TinmanMS6 helped me swap out the Clutch master and slave cylinders. Well...he pumped the clutch when it came time to bleed 'em... oh, and let me borrow the garage. That was kinda important lol. The master was freakin easy after I took off the intake snorkle, the slave was a bit more of a pain in the ass, but still not terrible. The hard line and the 'port' for the flare nut didn't feel like lining up properly, so I basiclaly had to loosen both bolts on the slave almost all the way to get some wiggle room, start the flare nut a few threads, then it went on fine.

Also got the supertrapp in on Friday. Unfortunately, 1 of the threads in a bolt hole had some welding slag in it. Drove down to the Summit store in McDonough on Sunday and had them replace it. Fortunately they had it in stock. Went by Meinike (sp? who cares..) this afternoon and had them fab everything up. There's basically the cat, then the stock cat-back flange, then about a foot of pipe w/ a bend in it, and then the supertrapp. It exits under the car behind the gas tank (which is nice lol). I shaved about 19 lbs with that thing, so that in itself was well worth it. And it sounds great too, I may have to take some pics and a video later tonight. I have it w/ 6 disks in right now, which is about the most you can have and have it still truly streetable. 9-disks will make the most power (besides totally uncorking the thing), but will be a good bit louder. Of course, uncorked will be the quickest, and by far the loudest.

For info on how the Supertrapp works, see here:

If you're looking for a lightweight exhaust, that's pretty much it. I'm not sure if I could drive that thing every day of the week (my commute's pretty short, so maybe), but it definately sounds nice, and I can deal with it between here and the events. For local events, I'll probably add the extra disks the night before, for ones further away, I'll have to add them on site so my ears don't start bleeding on the way lol

I'll post up pics and if I'm feeling spry, a vid, later on

Exhaust Pics

I'll have to take a few better shots tomorrow, but for now, these'll have to do. I couldn't really see crap, so I had no idea where I was pointing the cam lol

Zomg no exhaust NO WAI!

For those of you familiar w/ the Miazda, you know where that's exiting

Pics of the new pipe on the old flange. I didn't have them weld it on. I may have that done later, but it's on there fine w/ the clamp for now

Because I'm using the stock flange, I didn't even need to modify the hanger :)

Thanks. Ever gonna get that P5 back together, or are you just gonna keep everyone waiting? ;)

^ i had a supertrapp on my atv, does that count? '02(?) honda recon w/ oversize tires/lifted/spacers/couple of engine goodies

dangit.. i should have never sold it :(

yeah....noooo.......

While it sounds great, I don't think I could daily it. Esp since in the 'street' setting w/ 6 disks it should be makeing the same power as stock, but will be down on torque. I haven't driven it in the 'race' setting yet, but I'm sure it won't be quite lol

so i am wondering how restrictive to flow a supertrapp is or how queit it keeps things. i need to look for something low profile to run on my exhaust since my muffler is scraping.

if you run it pretty open, it's not restrictive at all. I'm probably not going to be running it like that except @ evernts. Right now, it's restrictive lol. Let me put it this way: With it wide open, you can look right through it.

yeah but how does that work with sound

you mean like for sites w/ sound regs? Running 9 disks on the miata has been proven to pass at GCFG (even with a header and intake)
