Z919 error 99?

I have the Z919 and when i put a cd in i get error 99. anyone have a manual with the errors listed? I didnt get a booklet for the HU when i got the car, and cant seem to find a listing of the errors online.

Look on page 19. This is not the manual for the Z919 but Im sure all Kenwood error codes are the same.

How long have you had that headunit. I believe its a 2000 or 01 model. I know b/c I always wanted one.

As for the code
"Something is wrong with the disc magazine. Or the
unit is malfunctioning for some reason."
E99
Check the disc magazine and then press the reset
button on the unit. If the "E-99" code does not
disappear, consult your nearest service center.

Guess its the catch all error.
As for the HU, its stock came with the car.

This radio is stock?

it was stock in the MP3. i did reset it, the only thing i managed to do was erase the time and presets. nothing else.

Sounds like you'll need to have it repaired. A mom & pop shop might could fix it for around $40-50.

I didn't know that was the stock radio. Of course there's a lot about these I don't know yet. Good luck!
