You know if I had 1 major complaint or design flaw it would be........

Silver has got to be my least favorite color on an automobile. But, whatever. It's my wife's car, she can pick what she wants. The CX-5 is a modest car for me. But, my wife doesn't much care about what she drives, so long as it is reliable, and doesn't break the bank. So, maybe silver really is appropriate.

It IS a sad story. As you can tell, I'm bitter about it. Personally, I love white on cars. (pow)

Agreed, silver is my least favorite car color and it's as common as Camry's. Fortunately my wife agrees. And it's not like we don't like variations of silver cars, such as gunmetal grays, etc. But plain old silver will not get near our garage. The CX-5 is a modest car for me too, but plain ole silver, no excuse and not going to happen here.

My wife currently drives a Steel Gray Metallic (dark gunmetal silver/gray/bluish metallic) car, last one was Mars Red (fire engine red) car and she has decent automotive taste thankfully.

Cheap isn't the reason. I bought my CX-5 in the first week of March, before any substantial inventory was available. The wife refused to purchase a white or Sky Blue GT, and that's all there was at the time. So, silver Touring it was.

Guess I'll take my cheap ass to the Audi dealer, and trade in this bad Mazda.

So your wife is impatient, unreasonable, and silly enough to lose her keys all the time...... and the Mazda is what you are going to trade in?

You came to the wrong place to get sympathy. Most here love their CX-5.
Sounds like you wanted an Audi all along. Poor reliability and sky high repair costs. To each his own.

I traded a Audi for the CX-5. I feel much better now.

LOL! Spot on.

Also, what's with this common gripe with Americans and the size of their cup holders? Srsly?

Big Gulp crap and correlation with obesity...

No wonder Mazda did not consider supersizing cup holders as a top priority.

Dead weight.

one feature I miss is the beeping sound when you forgot to push down your E-break, and for the door that's not properly shut tight.

The clock: too low, too small. Seriously? It took the wife and I a week to figure out where it was. I initially thought it was the tiny clock at the top of one of the screens (I think in Nav view)

Abysmal cargo/trunk light. Can't see anything in there. Definitely requires an LED upgrade.

Not a major gripe but electric folding mirrors would've been a nice touch. Then again, that's one fewer electrical component to break down is also good :)

Touch screen is a touch too small. Too much real estate devoted to the buttons or at least, they could've designed it better.

Arm rest is crap. Why have it even?

USB playback doesn't resume? WTF.

Backup camera guide lines should steer with angle of steering wheel to show you where you're going.

Clock should be in a more prominent position. Oh and change the orange color of the center stack. One illumination color, and not blue or ugly red please. White is just fine.
