Wtf??

My front passenger side window blew up while cruising on the freeway today. Glass is everywhere, I even found glass in the trunk area of the car. This was totally random I dont even know if something hit it. All I know was it was there one minute and the next it just exploded. (pissed)

thats crazy, i came out to find my window in a million pieces stuck together because of my tint, but that was because someone tried to break into my car.

yeah, either rocks, or look for tiny pieces of porcelain. my friend's windshield exploded and he found tiny pieces of porcelain (probably from spark plugs).

Maybe it was part of a bridge. My brother had a pair of channel locks from no where go through his windsheild. He was literally the only car on that section of M59 when it happened.

I was driving just a wee bit outside detroit (696 to 94 ramp) so it could have been a sniper or a stray bullet (but we will never know)...Progressive is taking my car in today and giving me a rental. They need to fix a few things anyways from a previous repair job where the work didnt leave me 100% satisfied. Looks like the P5 is going to be out of commision for awhile...

So this year the 5 was taken out in a hit and run, then someone tried to jack the front mazda emblem and broke the grill, then I took took heavy shopping cart damage (huge 12" long dent), Now the exploding window. This has not been a good year for my car..

Same thing happened to me a few years ago in my Grand Marquis. A truck kicked up a rock from two lanes over. Scared the b-jezuz out of me because it was around the time of the sniper down south and a local copycat who was using a pellet gun to shoot at cars on the freeway.

You will never get all that damned glass out of your car either !! I had someone shatter a window on my last car and everytime I would clean it I would find more glass !!

That's too true. Mine was broken 2 years ago. I've since had the entire interior out, and even changed carpet. I still find little bits occasionally.

If they leave glass in the door I'll be sending it back for them to fix it. Hopefully the 5 comes home this week... I'm not feeling the tan on tan Buick Century i've got as a rental and it has the plannest interior ive ever seen. Grandpa dont got no style... (freak)

The car is back and looks good. They even fixed the big dent in the rear door. (yippy)
