SI's in iowa will all be rusted out or a ricer POS fyi.
im not sure if its stock or not because its ran to well for me to find out.
i bought it from a dealer and you think they would tell you that or not? if so, your mistaken..
i also bought it with a south carolina title..
Really, ricer? You drive a Mazda right? While we all know Ford has a majority stake in the company; Mazda has always been know for it's "ricer" roots.
Not knowing if it is stock or not and then mentioning it might be built are two different things. Based on that alone I would never buy a car from you as you have ZERO clue as to what you are talking about. This car is for my GF who doesn't know how to pick up a wrench. She does know how to pick up the phone and call me though, which means I want something that will give me ZERO phones calls. I don't like picking up wrenches unless they are for my own cars. Your car doesn't sound like that would be the case. Sorry.
prez there is always a better way to go than a civic si. you can just buy a "highly modded" protege and sell aftermarket parts you dont want and buy stock replacements and pocket the extra cash. but id hardly call the blue one highly modified
While yes you/I/we can buy a "highly modded" protege and sell the parts that does me no good. I have to pick up a wrench and as I recently spoke about I don't like doing that unless it's "my" car. Where are the stock parts? Who is going to give me back the hours of my life I wasted returning it to stock? I can appreciate a nicely modded car. But I can also appreciate an owner more who can include every single stock part as well, which most cannot.
I agree the blue one is not highly modified. But, the price is completely out of range with what I am seeing on forums or in the big blue sky. I'm more than willing to fly to one of the coasts and bring back a complete stock and clean MSP for the normal going rate than buy one that is overpriced in my backyard. They don't want to hear that? That's fine don't click the link back into this thread. They can sell it to someone else, I am completely fine with that.
Actually, if it were me and I could do it all over again, I would of probably gotten the Si...
Agreed I owned an 09 SI sedan for just under a year and loved the car. It handled great and was a great car, but I traded it off for my third evo. The SI would be absolutely perfect for the girl and she can still autocross it and drive it in several inches of snow.
A MSP also though is a great car at a cheaper price tag (due to it's year) which is also important to her, that is why I am here looking.
Had a MSP the other day in which I was a day late on contacting that has, sway bars, stock otherwise, 68K miles, 1 set of summer tires, 1 set of winter tires, all for $7500, and in perfect shape. Another one will come along, thought I would see if that was here or not.
prez, if your big into the autoX scene the MSP is for you. it handles like a dream on wheels, probably one of the top 2 FWD handling cars in all motor/size.
i compete in the SCCA autoX events here in the Cedar Rapids surrounding area, i always finish in the top 3-5 in my class. and im just on stock suspension...
Iowa chapter? Never seen you at an Osky event, Newton event, or Marshelltown with the Iowa region. I'm dual region member with DMVR and Iowa, and in the last three years can't recall running into a blue MSP at any events.
Wish I could make Hawkeye downs event this weekend. I'll be sure to look for pictures of your car out there though when they get posted on the local boards.
