Wisconsin meet at end of July

I really don't want to push my car up to 100, it is my daily driver and I don't feel comfortable with the odds of me ******* it up. In fact, if you flew by me at 100MPH, I'd probably be pretty pissed at you! Safety before fun, no matter how good a driver you are, other people on the road might not be.

I understand, we won't be going that hard though, it looks like we will all need to invite some women so that they can talk shoes while we talk cars...

I may skip the drive, not sure, might have my woman with me also if other women will be there to keep her company :)

I'm with you there Mark. As fast as we did the Mt. Horeb drive is about as much as I'd push it with a group. I've been on a drive before where someone got run off the road because of a bad driver in our group. The pickup ended up bottomed out with the front end off a small cliff...

we can always do the run with a "slow" group and a "fast" group to satisfy those with speed needs and the rest of us sane folk ;) LOL.

don't get all worked up about the speed, that is something that me and Racerx386 do very rarely. Plus, we know these roads very very very very well.

Wasn't worrying about the speed really, just pointing out that some drivers will like it faster than others... the only problem with you guys knowing the roads is the rest of us don't... so corner entry and exit varies from person to person. It will be fun and it should be safe. It's just a matter of making sure comfort levels are addressed... call me policial or whatever... but I"ve been on enough of these to know what can and does happen and what the variety of attitudes about it often are :)

Not gnashing on the drive or worrying over it... just bringing up additional viewpoints.

These are all very good points. We all want this to be a fun, safe, enjoyable day. Good cars, Good people, Good weather (as long as it cooperates). We are all looking forward to this.

I'll be a part of the slow group since I don't really know Mt. Akina I mean Horeb

Mt. Horeb is the Madison meet you missed... this is Holy Hill area I believe.

Is there a drag strip anywhere near there we could hit before the end of the night? i need to roll from Milwaukee probably around 7 or 8... but putting down a 1/4 wouldnt' be too bad :)

There isn't an actual sanctioned drag strip anywhere near sussex, however, if you are heading south on I-94 towards Chicago, there is Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove. But that's pretty much it.

I'm going to be working @ the State Time Trial all Sunday so I won't be able to make it guys :(

omgwtfbbq?

Hope you guys have fun!

August 20th will be a massive meet at State Beach Park in Illinois... looks like 20+ cars so far.

I miss the 20th meet, pretty most meets after this one. Moving to the Boston area in the middle of August.

damnit, sorry to hear that Brian!
Well guess, this really does suck, but I'm going to have to pull out of this meet. I just got back from Chicago from a funeral last night, company picnic today, going to be pretty burned out!

On a side note, any of you crazy illinoisianzzz drive an orange MSP? I saw one pass me up yesterday headed north on 294 just south of gurnee/waukegan I think...

Ok, have a great meet guys, and take pictures!
