Winter tires! 14" fit MP3!

hi today i bought my winter tires... 185/65/14 ..yoko tires... 580$ CAN...

just wanted to tell you that the 14" fit perfectly.....flush..but it is ok! :) :D

how much room you got in the wheel hub? more or less then the racing harts?

where did you get your rims?

Space between the outside of the tire, and the wheel well. I ask, because around here we get a lot of ice build up in the wheel wells. If there's not enough room, it can rub pretty bad.

I'd imagine there would be quite a bit more space then the stock tires at 205/45/17.

we got some ice here too....
it kinda tight...but i have a "tempo" here....so no snow on my car in the morning :D ..and the heat from the breaks will melt the snow if there are some...!

dont think it will be a problem.!

if thats what u wanna know...theres is like 1 cm from the galliper to the rim inside.. then it gets to 3cm.. (its tight..but 15" wont be much better)
what u think?

I didn't think that 15" would be that much better, and I spent a s*** load of money on Winter tires last year. They only got like 5000kms on them. So, I didn't exactly want to sell them yet.

Damn thing is, my winter rims won't be in until 3 weeks....s***. ANyhow, I'll let the forum know how they fit as well.

I just got the same winter tire size mounted(185/65/14). I worked out the diameter size(difference between 205/45/17 & 185/65/14), and it came up about 1" smaller than the summer tires.
But on the car, it's hard to see much difference - they look really good!

I had 4 tires and rims included in the sale.
P185/65R14 is what they gave me.
Just installed them last week and they fit fine but are a tad smaller...

still waiting for my rims. But, the dealer is pretty good, they gave me a set of 15's, with studs on them for now. 185/65/15.

I've got my own 14's I'm waiting to put on rims.

Killer is, the buggers chipped up 2 of my racing harts in the process. Not that bad but i'm afraid the finish will peel at some time in the future. Looks like the air gun slipped and chipped the edge of the holes where the lugs go in. Dented 3 of my center caps as well. I'm heading up tomorrow to see what they are gonna do for me. The dealer has treated me very well so far, but this is going to be there "final exam".

My Honda dealer did something like this to me, I got pissed one day when they scratched up my hood while washing it....they said they couldn't do anything for me.....so I drove next door and traded the honda in for the mp3. Damn that felt good. But there was more then one incident with that honda dealership.

Hope I don't have to do it again though. Love my mp3.

wish me luck

That's still 500 bucks U.S.
I'm going for 195/65R14. It will prolly cost me about 500-550 CAD but I'm getting a special deal from the guy who does rsx's and my car. Also, with the mags off I'll finally be able to give them the good thorough wash they deserve, plus have them fixed up.
Wow few more hours till the weekend. YESSS.

Sorry I lack the "connections" to get a better deal... :D
Its still an s-load cheaper than some other winter wheel options... ;)

Dude! Call John at Talon Tire (514 337-0833)... Tell him I referred you and he'll give you a decent price for the tires and rims... Also mention that you know Segrick and Chester (he knows them too)!

Cheers,

Keith
