Winter FI/Engine projects?

We have a G.D. Squirrel that made its home in the attic of the garage. Its a pellet gun.

Poor scamp isn't getting any love this year. It's just sitting there with a flat tire and the carb. missing. lol

Well I bumped up the boost to 11psi and found out a few things...
1. There is no way I'm gonna get enough traction for a 12.5 pass on the stock tires.
2. To race anybody now it must be from 45 or higher because it just sits and spins from anything below that.
3. I need more fuel.
4. I need more fuel.
5. I need more fuel.
6. I need more fuel.
7. I had to back soo much timing out to stop detonating.
8. The SMIC HAS to go in today.
9. I beat a '72 Dart that runs 12.70's from a 45mph roll. ( Beat doesn't describe it, it was no contest...It literally walked away.)
10. I suggest this turbo upgrade to anyone that has a hatred for tires.

MpNick is working on some sneaky stuff for me. If everything goes good I should have it in time for the first race this wednesday, If not then I'm gonna have to run around 9-10psi max. Time will tell.

ditto. Where were you running out of fuel at? What was the bottleneck?

Also, its great to hear you are having some fun with your car now!

For your turbo, you were running a GT25 with a larger compressor wheel right?

Stock injectors. I was warned away from larger injectors every time it came up, and I run the stock plastic pipes. So I got MpNick to be creative... we will see how it turns out.

go checkout my rebuild thread and watch the videos... then get back to me on how "bad" large (550) injectors are ;).

You have a stand alone. I have a piggyback, I'm pretty sure there are some resolution differences.. From what I am told it is 100x's easier to tune the secondary injectors than to get the car running correctly all the time on big primaries.

yes you need the resolution of a standalone... and the piggy would probbaly have issues trying to do it so you are certainly correct there... but the general theories around here that cars can't and don't run well with big primaries isn't true... my car is perfect proof... but in your case things would be different... my interpretation of your statements was off a bit... I didn't think about piggy etc... you running the MPI adding secondaries is MUCH better than trying to run just big primaries. My case it's different.

But tuning it to run well doesn't take much at all... quite easy :)

You're still running the stock pipes?? How the hell do they hold up at higher boost levels when some of them crack at stock boost. You take that whole "stock" looking thing pretty serious huh?

There only expanded to about 1 and a half times normal size, lol. I always keep a spare set in the trunk.

In the first two pictures, what major component was changed???
