Winter FI/Engine projects?

Hmm thats an awful thick stock intercooler. I like the Pipe sticking out of the intake box.

In the first two pictures, what major component was changed???

Got rid of the orange hoses... I think it looks pretty stock.

you should get some hardpipes, cut the bottom of your stock plastic ones, then place them over the harpipes with the slit facing the bottom so nobody can see. lol

I've thought about it. I actually have a bet with one of the callaway guys about when there gonna blow.... so far I have been right. They want them back so they can see where it blows apart.

question: when/if it blows, is it gonna damage anything else other than the pipes? say the trubo or engine itself, if some of the plastic goes into the turbo or through the throttlebody into the head and into the cylinder?

I think they will only split open causing an incrediby rich condition and the engine will stall out.

Is the BPV totally stock? I remember at the texas meet, someone there was running like 10psi, and his BPV would start leaking, you could hear it venting in the middle of a run.

So you're running the stock air box too? Damn dude, you are hard core with that "stock look". I guess you take it out for the track and dyno right?

You could get someone who can airbrush good and airbrush hardpipes to look like stockies even with the flex joints.(thumb)

blkzoomzoom-- IIRC those pipes are good to about 25psi without leaking..... you should be fine.

This is the set-up I have always run. Never had any other intake. I hate CAI's and SRI's. They are the worst idea imo., never driven in a car that ran right with one. I like the way the stock intake is designed, and I have yet to see myself or anyone else outflow it.

good to know about the 25psi thing though......

how are you keeping your bpv from leaking? it also seems like you would be robbing yourself of boost if your piping was expanding 1.5x or more under boost. has anybody tested to see how much our piping expands on stock boost?

Oh man. Your life was cut short by an unfortunate situation.... Your potential wasn't even close to being met. You will be missed.

13.20 @ 109.6 mph, 17psi and some bad driving on my part....
