windshield.. yet again..

with stupid Geico, my deductable is $250..
do they cost much at stealerships?

That sucks....GL getting it fixed and shop, shop, shop for the cheapest price (looks like you already got some help there).

I found a place that will do it for $199.. guess I will try that place..

I'm very thankful that my mom's insurance does zero deductable glass for any crack, and for chips in the driver's line of sight.

:'(

A place called Harmon Auto glass.. in the Merrifield area.. *shrug*
hopefully they'll do a good job.. i can't afford to have it done at safelite for $300.. :(

new windshield now.. :)

when they took out the old one, they said the previous times it was replaced, it was never primed.. and starting to rust bad.. :(

I think I see a warrantied paintjob in your future.

oh gosh! I really don't want to know how bad mine is.. with the amount that it leaks on me when it rains, I'm betting my whole car is rotting from the inside out :P

I've passed along the crappy cell pics to the dealership... they are supposed to be in contact with me about it.. should be interested if I contact Mazda about it myself.... lol

thing is.. if my windshield hadn't cracked again, I'd have never known it was rusting away underneath the replaced windshield...

they better warranty it or they'll have a msp right through their showroom floor

Sorry to bump this thread, but my LX produced a stress crack over the weekend, it is at 44k miles and warranty is up in June, I have already taken it to the dealer and the Service Manager said was amazed by the stress crack. But he did say that he would have to run it by the District Manager, but should be no problem....Well today I get a call from the Service Manager telling me that my claim is denied, due to a rock pit being in the windshield at the very bottom and the stress crack is at the top of the shield. I called Mazda USA and they couldn't do anything cause the DM had already made a decision. So I don't know what I should do now, just pay for it or what?
