On a side note, if anyone knows, what happens when you drill a hole through carbon fiber? Is there any spider webbing or shattering that might happen or will it drill through nicely without any neggative side affects?

no bad side effects here. i had hood pins put on my carbon fiber hood and its all okie dokie!.. yes hoodpins.
