Anyone who tells me to "search" can kiss my ass, its a forum dude, thats that point of forums, to ask and be answered, in all that smart ass writing you could have simply written the name and type of fluid , but no you wanted to get your balls off by telling me to search. well congratulations

damn bro iv be trying to find a thread bout that for u but cant seem to find one ill keep looking.

Civics use regular motor oil for their trans. As for Proteges 75W-90 GL5 Gear Oil. Royal Purple/Lucas/ or Redline are good for our trans.

As for the search it is pretty easy to do. Also you could have found the answer with testimonials of the different types of gear oil. That would have taken seconds, while making a thread on the other hand could take days to get an answer.

From what I've gathered (after sorting through UNRELATED threads) people say to use either gm syncromesh or redline

Kind of an asshole response. That's what the forums are for. If all we did was search...it would be a database. Not a forum

If people searched we wouldn't have 10000 threads asking the same questions, cluttering up the forums. And what do you think a forum is, anyways? It's a database that is constantly updated and added to... (detect)

Its all good its a discussion. I do agree with most of what he says. But certain topics get buried. Some questions are stupid and have been answered 100's of times. But some are buried.

Buried? Really? First page of the search results for "Transmission fluid" has at least 5 threads that ask/discuss the exact same thing. Not trying to be a dick, but people act like searching is difficult and/or doesn't work well here. It's really not that bad. Whatev, not a big deal. No worries, bro.(drinks)

Maybe its my search method then. Everytime I search I get garbage. Bear in mind I'm still fairly new to this site. Do you use advanced search. No hard feelings man

Yes, I typically go to advanced search so I can target the car model I'm searching for. I targeted that search to the Protege/familia area. No need to see what tranny fluid MS3's, RX-8s, etc... use when you're looking for info on the g15-m trannies. :)

If you dont see what you want in the first three pages, reword your search. Also make sure you are searching in the correct section.
