so i see things are goin alright man......you goin to biffs tonight

they have a tool for it but you can use a open ended wrench to take off o2 and then just remove the bolts its pretty easy i did it on my last motor

lol, baby steps...sorry guys im not trying to be an ass its just funny to me. i remember when i first started taking small stuff apart on my car...next thing you know your building forged motors and doing engine swaps lol.

the o2 sensors are easy...do yourself a favor and spend the 10-12 dollars and get the o2 sensor socket. its 7/8 and has a slot down the side for the wire.

thanks for the input guys! haha, it looks pretty easy to do, but i don't want to deal with having my CEL come on if i mess up the O2 sensor. where can i get the socket for $12?

your more likely to snap a bolt or two off for the heatshield than you are going to mess the O2 sensor up.

Warm engine up, then try and loosen the bolts, do not do it when its cold they are more likely to snap

well it wasent today but just installed my RB FSB...and just got my RB RSB in the mail today so thats going on tomorrow....also replaced my blinker switch it was going out

Yeah, sucks big time. I totally forgot to spray it. The funny thing is, the way the socket sripped the sensor so easily, I don't think any spray would have made much difference. Maybe I'm wrong about that, but I'm definitely slapping myself for not spraying it first. Argh.

oh well, hopefully they can get it out ok.

you'd be surprised, PB Blaster is the semen of god himself

thanks, iukekini, i'll try it out this weekend.

on another note, i was looking at your pics today, and was wondering how difficult it was to retrofit the 01 front lip to our car. know where i can find a how-to?

btw, best of luck on your latest project! you know i'm subbin', haha!!

its not very hard, takes patience. basically have someone hold the lip up tight to the bumper, mark how short you need to make it on each side on wheel wells. Cut the end caps off on each side, cut the needed amount off, and then use a good strong flexible epoxy to hold the ends back on the shortened sides, sand smooth and primer.

then when it is done, mock the lip up on the bumper, then place the brackets, mark the two holes per bracket(8 brackets total, so 16 holes) pull everything off, drill small pilot holes on the marks, then use the provided screws and attach all 8 brackets, place lip back on, but now on the brackets, and attach with the 10mm bolts and nuts provided and then place bumper back on car with the lip and attach the clips in wheel well. If you are happy with fitment, take it all off and send it to paint and then install the lip again for the final time.
