What have you done to your P5 today?

Why wouldn't the sr60's fit in the front? All you need is a 6x8 to 6.5" adapter. I am running polk sr6500 components in the front of my p5.

The $50 is much better spent on front components than 100+ for rear fill speakers.[/QUOTEo

ah ya forgot about adapters... anyways I think my sr80's were a hell of a deal and sound super amazing. But I feel we are straying
from my original statement... what speakers should I get now to replace my rear stock speakers with? for my below $50 budget (maybe $60 for bostons) should I get a speaker with higher db, hz range, or does it even matter for that price range?

It's not a very exclusive club sadly, if you have a protege you can get in... I called up a local dealer a while back and they wanted something crazy like $400 but a regular garage will do it for less than half that.

just for a slight squeak? ya thats never getting done on my car until its a full on grinding metal on metal sound

In all honesty, I wouldn't do much with the rear speakers as a front sound stage is what you want anyway. That's just me tho.

While the rear speakers may not seem like much, I think that a completed sound stage is where the real sound quality is. Although I am running 2 RF P1s an average "audiophile" can get away with running an 8" bazooka tube to add the subtle nuances of any genre of music. If you are running a DVD player in the car (which I am), then I feel that completing the speakers all around would be the best bet so that everyone in the car from every angle gets the best sound possible.

Posted a for sale ad on kijiji today. I specified that it was just gauging interest and I'm not in any need of selling... but to be honest, if somebody offered me $6000 it would be very hard to say no. Just so damn broke right now and I really want a Miata.

So anyone want to help me troubleshoot my light issue? Just installed a new HID kit (35W with no relay..what I was running) and all was well until my ride in this morning. Looked at the gauge cluster and noticed my 'high beam' indicator was faintly illuminated, I hit the stalk which turned them on and the indicator lit fully. Pulled into the parking light at work and discoverd my DS lo-beam was on as well as both hi-beams (faintly)....turned the hi-beams on and both DS lights were fully on while neither light was on the PS? My first thought during the drive was a bad bulb/ballast but now I'm not so sure with the hi-beam issues....

I'd have some ideas for you if you were running a bi-xenon setup in a sedan light... but your issue confuzzles me.

If only it was that easy. lol Not a fuse and I'm considering swapping ballasts at lunch time but it's pouring here and for some reason, I don't think that is going to work either.... Guess I'll add that I'm using slim ballasts with the new kit whereas the former kit were full size???

low beam only HID kit? ??

That's not something i've seen or heard before. . . . .

From the sounds of it, there is a crossed wire somewhere making contact with the low beams

Not sure how though? I unplugged my old ballasts, removed the bulbs and reversed the order for installing the new kit....

Yes, H7 35W kit with 5K bulbs. Only difference from my Techone is they are slim ballasts so I have the external igniter....

I wish i could help, but if nothing else changed, other than swapping the HID kit, something else is screwy

NP and not sure wth happened. It's been working fine for just over a week now so???? Thinking about swapping in the old silverstars in the lo-beams to see if that fixes it....

Maybe but never knew of anyone having issues with the 35W kits.... It's a V-HIDs kit that I purchased from V-LEDs.com They are in WA so going to wait until this afternoon and contact them as well.
