What have you done to your P5 today?

09 Gary Fisher Piranha...unfortunately the roof got dented as well as my Yakima rack that it was attached to...bike is alright though...roof has a nice size dent...I pulled it out a bit and am going to see about getting it fixed a bit more...

Yea...luckily it isn't as bad as it could of been...the minute I heard it hit I stopped, I am glad it didn't fall on the roof though...

Wow man. Bad luck indeed. Here's to an easy fix.

What do you think of the Piranha? I'm kinda wanting to get another bike... but this time one that's not single speed and rigid frame (even though that's all I ever prefer to ride off road)

I really have enjoyed it...I am a big guy...started off at 6'2" 362 December 28th riding it...now I am 315...it has been very comfortable...I tried out a lot of different bikes, but liked this one a lot more than the others I rode...it accomodated me being bigger a lot better than the others IMO...I have brought it on the road, and up in the mountains and it has a great ride to it...

Replaced the stock stereo with aftermarket, took all of 5 minutes at best and i didn't have to take any dash apart, that was awesome. guess it makes up for the lesser joy of changing the EGR valve

- if anyone can tell me, what is the vent tube from the EGR valve supposed to connect to?, or is it just supposed to hang in the fender - the directions were sort of cryptic on this, and well pretty much every other step of the operation as well

I'm not aware of a vent tube... It should be a closed system, IIRC. I don't see the EGR system being very effective if it's not a closed system. unmetered air and what-not defeat it's purpose...

Someone correct me if I am mistaken.

Painted some interior pieces:

I'm letting them bake in the Texas sun at the moment, probably gonna let them sit overnight.

nice. pics of the painted pieces installed please whenever you get around to installing it :)

Got my JDM power folding mirror's in today and these are heated also....(dance)
Gonna paint them on saturday and install can't wait.

this is the canadian one, apparently there are two of them, one completely close, and this one that has the antifreeze flow going through it to the intake, and it has a long vent tube that the directions say to run to the left fender, so ok, i ran it, now what? do i leave it hanging or connect it to something?

Looks real good Matt :) I'd really like to do a satin black on my interior trim pieces but without the clearcoat i have a feeling I'll regret it and it will probably scratch easily and look like crap in no time.

Thanks Shane! Yeah I hear ya, the only reason I went with clear is for longevity purposes, and because everyone touches those pieces. You can actually buy a flat clear (Rustoleum makes it) but I didn't want to go out and buy it so I used what I already had at home.
