Realized my drivers side endlink in the front was loose. I need to take all my coilovers off and match them in height and double check all my bushings and s***

Yep...you would not believe the amount of water it sucked into the motor, but luckily I shut it off immediately...we tore it down and got it all out...got really lucky...pics should be up in a bit...I am meeting up with him in a few hours...

New sig is so sick, I was thinking about it today like "is he ever gonna change it?"

Lol...I had been waiting for my sig guy now for weeks since I don't know how to make them myself...he finally got done with finals and had some time...he made me a bunch with different pics, but that was the best of them...
 
I love your new sig, i've been trying to find a site to make my own, I used to be a part of one but I can't find it anymore. I don't have PS nor do I know how to use it but I need a sig. I also really want to pick up a set of MS3 rims, there are some about an hour from me for 250 in really good condition.
 
ive decided on going with a klze- T setup in my p5... its gonna take some work.. some money... a new engine tranny, ecu... all that stuff.. I guess i have some learning to do first...
 
ok guys... im considering a challenging swap..
I want to put a KLZE into my 2002 protege 5. i blew my motor the other day ( last friday.. on my way home from owrk.. snapped a rod.. blah blah...
im thinking the v6 might be capable for more power output..


i have found a few people that have successfully swaped the motors around and im lookin for some information and ideas about this swap, YES i have been using the search feature, im not asking for links, but maybe some people that have done a swap like this or knows some things

#1. are the motor mount locations the same for the v6 as to the 2.0?
#2 IF the motor mounts are in the same location. do 2.0 mounts work on the v6?
#3 will the protege radiator work and fit with the v6
#4 will the protege transmission line up on the v6?
#5 IF the protege tranny wont work, what should i use( obvioulsy a v6 tranny that came with it but did ford probes ever come with an lsd or anything like that

input is greatly appreciated. I will be searching more after this post and all that good stuff.
 
Are you sure you're blowing your motor from too much power? Or the lack of a proper tune, build, etc? Maybe turbo just isn't for you...
 
I just don't wanna see him put the time and money in for a kl-ze T then blow that too because of an underlying problem he might be overlooking.

Bigger is better, but you gotta make sure you got all bases are covered or else it'll be worse.
 
Yeah, but not all the Mazda engines are pieces of s*** like the FS-DE is. KL is a good motor, BP is a good motor. Matter of fact, if you're going to go thru the effort for a KL swap, you may as well just do a BP swap, boost the living piss out of it, and save a ton of fabrication. You have to get custom axles made for the KL in the 3rd gen Protege, for example.

Oh... and a few people have shown (not really the smartest thing to do, but whatever) that a boosted BP can survive on no engine management.
 
Finally changed over to mobile1 10w30 full synthetic and a K&N oil filter... and since i dont have the obx header anymore i painted my header cover gloss black.....prob gave me like 30whp
 
Yeah! Over the past 2 weeks, I helped my son work on his P5. We changed the water pump, timing belt, accessory belts, motor mounts and swapped out the stock intake with VTCS for a High Flow Intake from a 626. It runs real sweet now.

Hey, Anyone looking for a used 2.0 Intake Manifold? I have one to sell.

New shoes came from TireRack...215/40/16 Sumitomo HTR+. Looking forward to getting them on, as my current set of tires is spent to the warning bars!
 
Installed corksport bronzeoil shift linkage bushings (on the transmission side only). They don't fit on the TWM short shifter :( so I have an extra pair. Also installed an egr block off plate. Fun fun.
 
Installed facotry p5 alarm system but now have an issue...followed directions but when i plug the fuse in, the horn will not shut off...any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
